Latest Apple iPhone 5 speculation; no big change in screen size

iMore, which correctly called the date when Apple would announce the third generation of its tablet, has some information about the next Apple iPhone (let's hope that it is given a better name than that); among the new features will be LTE connectivity for Apple's smartphone...

I'll buy it anyway, I have always had an Ipod touch to kick around, I don't care what you think, I like them. But Apple really baked my cookies when they didn't update the iTouch, it actually worked out better for me because I bought my Itouch about a month and a half before I found out they werent updating it. So my itouch is top dog for another year good thing right? WRONG! There are some games I cannot play, or they are laggy, this sucks! Apple is giving us iTouch users the short end of the stick, so I'm gonna buy an iPhone, and use it as a glorified iPod Touch.

All I can say is great news! 3.5" is a good size for a PHONE. If you want bigger - go for an iPad. We don't need coffee trays like the Samsung galaxy or the ridiculous note.

obviously u have never really used a phone with a screen size bigger than the iPhone, once u used it for awhile, u'll get used to it and will feel that 3.5" is actually quite small.

If they include LTE the phone will get bigger, the battery will get bigger, the chip will get bigger, thus the screen will get bigger. Its far too early to know at this point what apples doing with the next iPhone. Rumors have more truth to them closer to the launch of the device. It'll probably increase, but to no more than 4 inches.

If this is true the. I think that apple have changed their stance on the mobile market, instead of building a high end phone I think what they are going for is a mid range high-performance smartphone.

This is probably just a rumour, i dont believe Apple is that dumb to release a phone with 3.5" again. Since the original iPhone, the screen size has remained the same. People are starting to want a phone with a bigger screen. I would definitely consider the iPhone if it had a bigger screen. 4" would be nice.
Friends sometimes ask why i don't get the iPhone 4/4S, and the main reason is the screen size. Apple should increase the screen size to AT LEAST 3.8". 3.8" - 4.3" would be the perfect spot.

It will be called the "new" iphone and will have a slightly better processor, a slightly higher res screen, a slightly better battery, and 4g. They could also call it the "ipad nano" and the sheeple will gobble it up.

Why do people keep insisting on a large screen? IT'S A PHONE! If you want to watch movies, get a TV. I have to carry the thing 24x7, I need battery life, and I desparately try to avoid dropping it. As long as I don't have to put on reading glasses to read my email, or get smaller fingers to type a reply, I will buy an iPad to satisfy the need for a beautiful large screen. But, as for my phone, size does matter and smaller is better!

Smaller is not always better. See the HP Veer.
I thought the same way, but then I picked up my Galaxy Nexus. Now, the iPhone feels small. The Note and other 5"+ devices still seem ridiculous to me, but that's my opinion. If Apple can increase the screen size to 4" by shrinking the bezels to keep the phone roughly the same size, I don't see how that's anything but a win-win.
Plus, a bigger screen allows for more space to put a bigger battery, something that will be needed for the LTE. ;)
