Really hoping for sort of a different design, not just an enlarged iphone 4 and 4s.

C'mon.. this is Apple we're dealing with here.
A slightly larger 4" screen IS a radical departure from their designs of the past! This should be good for another 5 years I'd say.
I'm curious to see how this new connector goes over.. all of a sudden everyone that has accessories that use the old style plug has useless gadgets if they upgrade..
Once again though, this IS Apple we're dealing with here.. I fully expect most users to rush out and buy all new radios/clocks/car stereos/chargers/docks/etc

I am 99% sure there will be some sort of adapter made. At least a 3rd party one.

IOS 6 was meant to be a huge enhancement and it turned out to be a very minor change introducing nothing more than one or two features found on rival platforms years ago, this is apple we are talking about, the new iPhone will essentially be an iPhone 4$ with a slightly bigger screen and a new charger port, nicely introducing a new range of charger accessories for frenzied ifans to buy. The origional iPhone changed very little in design up to the 3gs incarnation. It then at last changed a bit for the iPhone 4 and remained the same for the iPhone 4s

So this once again confirms the iphone remains the same, the question is what groundbreaking feature will it boast?? my guess, i-nfc...

when you have the most selling phone of any carrier. (soon Verizon will join) you don't have to risk much... the iphone is a pretty device even with a 2 year old design.. is a beauty people want the desing to change but most of us could care less.. just make it at least 4 inch...

Verizon will join? They've carried the iphone since the 4.

I still cant figure out why Apple is still holding on to their proprietary connectors? You are already screwing your exisiting accessories with new 19 pin connector.... why not just join the rest of the world and go Micro USB?
9. andro. (Posts: 1971; Member since: 16 Sep 2011)
One reason......for money. Apple doesn't want any charger used by Sony Samsung Nokia HTC lg etc to be able to charge their phones. They want ifans to buy apple only products. EU legal directive of a micro usb charger or not apple will still refuse to comply here unfortunately

People like you are why I don't plan on having kids... it's not fair to subject them to stuff like this.
The world is a scary place these days...

Or you could raise kids that don't get so easily brainwashed. That's my plan.

Ya cause if you buy an iphone, you are the biggest brainwashed idiot in the world. Only people that buy android are normal. (insert sarcastic face here.)

Not at all. He just lacked the imagination, wit, and creativity to come up with his own come back so he decided to copy, paste, and edit.
