That would be a MAJOR turnoff for me. If I wanted a WP, I would buy a WP. Especially considering that HTC won't give any support to xda to help get rid of that crap.

By GSII I meant GSIII. I wish the design was closer to the One X, it looks a bit uninspired now. Lots of storage and big battery with the thought that there will no replaceable battery or expanded storage.

Yeah, this has got to be the dumbest attempt by HTC ever. It looks like a fat iPhone running a WinPhone OS. Well, thanks HTC for making my decision to not continue supporting you even easier.

Oh, and how sad is it that it releases with 4.1.2 instead of 4.2.1. I can understand not having 4.2.2, considering it just dropped, but it shouldn't have a .1 increment less at launch than the current OS. Great job HTC. Bravo.

That 2300 mah battery is going to be too small even with the more efficient processor. At this point if the device has the same dimensions as the Maxx HD and an SD card that will mean that HTC has failed to listen to the consumers once again. Ill have to wait and see what the S4 and X phone have to offer.

But woud you have preferred a 3000mAh battery on your DNA? I would. Because that makes a lot of difference in battery life once you turn on LTE.

Honestly, I wouldn't care much for a 3Ah battery. I personally get about a day and a half out of my DNA on a daily basis. Sometimes I go to put my phone on the charger at night before bed after being off of the charger since 7am and I'm still at 50%.

I could only imagine how much better it would be with a huge battery but with battery life being as good as it is on this "small" battery, it's not really needed.

As far as this phone, I'm sure 2300 will be more than enough capacity especially with the Qualcomm 600 or 800 on board.

that is too small. The Note 2 is a half inch larger and has a batter that was 50% larger then the DNA. The RAZR MAXX and MAXX HD are smaller than the DNA/same size as the One and still had larger internal batteriers and SD card slots.

If HTC had offered the phone with a 3000 mah batter that was a little thicker i dont think you would complain. The DNA is a good phone with a battery that is too small. Yes you may get good battery life but just wait and see that the battery will be the big issue. HTC will then release the "new" HTC One with a 40% increase in battery and 64gb's just like the One X.

I hope for HTC sake you are right BUT HTC has a history of putting in batteries that are too small and with it not being user replaceable that just compounds the problem.

That Razr Maxx HD is small but its also thicker and wider. I used to have a Razr Maxx. That bezel on the phone was huge and it was wide. Battery life was also pretty much all it had going for it.

And I love HTC but I really don't see them making a phone with a higher capacity battery a la Razr/Razr Maxx.

As for the Note II, it's half an inch taller, but also wider and thicker. Of course it can accommodate a larger battery. Doesn't say much though since my DNA often times get the same or better battery life out out of it than my roommate does on his Note II and I use my phone far much more than he does.

Sure, a bigger battery would be nice but when your SoC, screen and software are optimized a bit better to lengthen that battery life, then why put a bigger battery in the phone and lose your thin form factor?

Strange thing that in leaked photos new HTC flagship looks so thin while some rumors still says that it is 9.3 mm thickness (thicker than Sony Xperia Z or Samsung Galaxy S III).

People keep commenting on battery life and the phone hadn't even had a review about the phone to mention battery life. People said the same thing about the DNA and so far battery life has been amazing.

How about that? Great battery life without needing to stuff a huge battery in the phone.
