LG unveils new phones at CTIA

LG has announced five new CDMA mobile phones as well as one GSM handset at CTIA Wireless 2005.

VX-8100 – an update to VX-8000 dual-band CDMA phone with clamshell design. It features:

• dual TFT color diplays
• built-in 1.3 megapixels camera flash and with video capture
• Bluetooth
• EV-DO high-speed data
• 512MB Flash Memory, 256MB SRAM
• miniSD memory expansion slot
• MP3 player

VX-8100 compared to the older VX-8000

Expect the VX-8100 to be available from Verizon Wireless later this year.

PM-225 – a clamshell-designed dual-band CDMA plus AMPS, which is expected to be available from Sprint. The main features are:

• dual 65k STN displays
• built-in CMOS VGA camera
• Full-Duplex Speakerphone
• WAP 2.0 Internet browser
• Voice recording and dialing

VX-3300 – an entry level dual-band CDMA plus AMPS phone with clamshell design and interchangeable faceplates. It is expected to be available from Verizon Wireless. It features:

• 65k color STN display
• SMS/EMS support
• 64MB Flash Memory / 32MB SRAM
• Voice-activated dialing

VX-5200 - a clamshell-designed dual-band CDMA plus AMPS, which features.

VI-125 – an entry level dual-band CDMA plus AMPS phone with clamshell design, which is expected to be available from Sprint. The main features are:

• dual  color displays
• WAP 2.0 Internet browser
• Full-Duplex Speakerphone
• Voice recording and dialing
