"The first one is the most interesting as it uses facial recognition to let users unlock their phones in less than a second by holding the handsets to their faces"

The shameless S8 copying.

S8 wasn't even the first on Android with facial recognition.

Yea Face Unlock has been built in since Ice Cream Sandwich back in 2011

That being said, its good Samsung and LG are using a better version since Google hasn't update theirs since Lollipop

What is this shameless copy you speak of? Is it the security hazard that is the software based facial recognition of the gs8? Lmao, Btw, Whats up with these software based facial recognition on android phones like samsung and lg? How are these different from those apps in google play? If you really want to do facial recognition go all out, include the hardware (dual ff cameras, motion processor, ir sensors etc), marry the hardware with custom software and then nail it. I mean, do it the right way ffs instead of making a mockery of your company. All these cheap companies.

When did Samsung tout this as a security feature? Pretty sure they said the opposite.

Exactly! Samsung clearly says the opposite, as tagged right there in the Security panel of the phone. Once into the Security panel, it lists a list of unlock methods and Facial Recognition is clearly taged as "Low security", whereas, PIN and Password are tagged as "medium to high security".

Facial Unlock (and Fingerprint scanning) comes in handy for those who want a faster and hassle-free unlock. Those who want an absolute secure method of unlock should definitely use PIN or Password!

"easy to be fooled with a picture.."

You'll need a 3D image render of the person.

Besides, the LG G2's Facial Unlock uses the same mechanism as just aboit every standard Facial Unlock found in Android phones. So take a chill pill.

Why have 128 gig version when the first has expandable storage? Even power users wouldn't really need the larger internal storage, would they? Serious question.

More importantly, why is it still using the 821?
The 835 efficiency is a very noticeable improvement

You're right. We should be stuck on 64gb storage forever even if apps get larger in every update and memory prices are getting cheaper every year.

Yeah, power users might need more than 64GB of storage. Expandable isn't as fast as internal storage, nor is it more secure or convenient in most occasions.

Every power user is not alike.

Most things are stuck on internal storage, SD card doesn't do much on Android compared to windows.

Better sell that fast in my country lg. Or htc u11 will get my money for the 128gb market. Htc's camera reviews are sick.

The LG G6 is a fine phone I like it better than the S8 and other flagship, more sturdier and more practical screen space

The best they could do is, add Samsung colors and add a +?

128GB of storage is very nice though.

128gb,quad dac,b&o earbuds, new features...wooow thats already a great deal for me..yeah sd835 would be great but im ok with sd821..they are saving sd835 for the v30.

"they are saving sd835 for the v30."

Then LG would be putting a dent in the G6's sales... I suppose the G6 Pro would have a Snapdragon 835.
