You didn't think that 3D phones are going to remain a thing of the past, did you? Well, to tell you the truth, for a moment there that thought crossed our minds as well, but according to officials from Samsung and LG, we're yet to see the best of the 3D technology on our mobile devices...

Being an owner of a 3d active shutter tv i have noticed that when 3d content is done right its spectacular, glasses free 3d is extremely tiring on the eyes however. I don't think glasses free 3d phones screens are quite ready yet although have 3d video capture is a thing phones should really start incorporating for playback on home tvs

I do agree 3D display does have a lot of potential, even if it is merely a stepping stone towards mass adoption of HD holographic displays. 3D seems to be now in the same position as when color TVs were first invented, most people saw it as just a new gimmick, nothing important, but look where color displays are now? Everywhere. Technology is not quite there yet, neither is the desire from the market, but at least it's good to know the powerhouses are innovating.

Haters.... I own a 3DTV and 3D phone. I love have options.... most people perceive that it is used on an everyday basis and get be tired of it. For me, I use it every so often with pictures and games other than that... I just wish there was more content to use it. Overall, it is nice to have it as an option. Ultimately, it doesn’t make the phone perform any less than a phone that doesn’t have it.

They need to think again. LG THRILL 3D phone doesn't sell too well. I'll pass on 3D cell phones.
