LG Optimus Zone 3 hits Verizon's prepaid lineup

Back on Christmas Day, we showed you a render of the LG Optimus Zone 3. At the time, we told you that the phone would soon be joining Verizon's pre-paid lineup. And today, it became official. The handset is available from Verizon for $69.99 and features a 4.5-inch screen. Resolution is unknown. Under the hood is a quad-core 1.1GHz CPU. A 5MP camera is on back, and the front-facing 2MP camera snaps selfies and handles video chats. 32GB of expandable memory is on board. Android 5.0 is pre-installed.

Verizon offers three tiers of service. For $60 a month, you get unlimited talk and text plus 3GB of data. $45 a month gives you unlimited talk and text with 1GB of data. For $30 monthly, you receive unlimited talk, text and Wi-Fi access. You can add more data starting with 500MB available for $5. You have 30 days to use this before the data expires. For $10, 1GB of extra data is yours, good for 90 days. $20 will buy you 3GB of data, also good for 90 days.

Whether you're a featurephone owner looking to buy a smartphone for the first time, or you're a student who doesn't need (or want) the latest high-end flagship, the Optimus Zone 3 will give you what you are looking for. If you're interested in the device, click on the sourcelink.

Thanks for the tip!
