They shouldn't have called it Optimus! They need to create differentiation between their high-end middle range and low end phones..
You don't hear of a Porsche golf now do you? A Porsche is a Porsche and a Golf is a Golf even though they're owned by the same parent company!
There's real confusion when it comes to Android devices.. Firstly there are competing companies calling their products droids(HTC, Motorola) and then there are LG and Sony Ericsson that seem to have gotten stuck with Optimus and Xperia everything!
Can a layman really tell the difference between the Droid,Droid Eris, Droid Incredible, Droid x, Droid 2, Droid Bionic,Droid Incredible 2 and Droid 3?
It's extremely difficult for the average user to tell which phone is better or even who the manufacturer is.
Phonearena lists 23 different Xperia models and 19 different Optimus models.
Somehow these guys need to come up with a better system of identifying their phones, so that EVERYONE can tell the difference..
Nokia had it down years ago, Samsung have the Galaxy S, S2 and Tab, and Apple has the iPhone 3, 3GS, 4 etc..
