LG Optimus LTE with its 4.5" 720p HD screen might be coming to Canada as the LG Eye

A promo video for The Source, a company owned by Bell Canada, is touting the specs of the LG Optimus LTE, which it keeps calling the LG Eye. Bell's own website also hints at an "LTE superphone" coming soon, so it's safe to assume that the phone with the biggest pixel density of 329ppi, without even using the PenTile matrix, will throw anchor near North American shores pretty soon...

What's with all the manufacturers being so ambiguous with the CPU details lately? Samsung did the same thing with the T-Mobile variant of the Galaxy S II, hoping no one would catch on that it was using an inferior Qualcomm S3 to the Exynos in all the other GS2's. It's like they think we're all idiots. I'll save my excitement for when LG releases the specs for the CPU in this thing instead of simply labeling it a "dual-core 1.5GHz." As for the rest of the specs, it looks really nice. But again, the CPU and the OS will determine how this phone performs so at this point that's what I'm most interested in.

LG's software update sucks, I still dont get it to why they do that (late software updates) because their hardwares are up there with the best in the business.

Really? Every review I have read of LG phones show a good deal of performance and battery life issues.

The fact its made by LG automatically scratches it off my list. The only good thing about anything made by LG is that it is cheap.

Shouldn't this be coming soon to Verizon? I'm sure LG would like bragging rights for a 4.5" HD device after the lackluster Revolution.
Or maybe they'll be smart, wait a bit and launch it with ICS...

lg has unlocked bootloaders and makes their roms freely available. much unlike other phone manufacturers. im looking at you motorola. lg also has 720p RGB screens. i like lg. ive been beating up my optimus v for almost 9 months now. im looking forward to an upgrade. unlocked bootloaders are a must for me, and developer communities are much aided by a stock rom to build from. i plan on rooting and romming my next phone, and lg makes it that much easier. YMMV

Hehe....sammy used old pentile and just few weeks after (even days!) other competitors introduced their phones with much better displays.
Obviously, even if they have 720 p SA+ or new gen of this technology they will use it in nech generation of galaxy, not nexus family.
Strange cooperation. Google should choose more carefully his partners when it comes to his precious nexus baby.
