LG Optimus L7 II Dual leaks with a 4.3-inch screen and massive battery

The LG Optimus L series is doing pretty well, it seems. Less than a year after its introduction, a total of over 10 million units have been sold across the 50 or so markets they are available in. T-Mobile is offering one as well, namely the LG Optimus L9, which happens to be the best handset of the L bunch, yet can be had for a very low price on a long-term contract.

Today, we've come across evidence suggesting that the LG Opitmus L lineup is to be refreshed with new handsets. The LG Optimus L7 II Dual was just leaked on the web along with hardware specs and a couple of legitimate-looking press photos of it. What is known about this new mid-ranger is that it will work with two SIM cards at the same time, hence the name, and will feature a dedicated button for switching between them. That feature is sought after by people who need separate numbers for their personal and business matters, yet don't want to carry around two handsets. Speaking of which, the availability of decent dual-SIM smartphones is still very limited, so the arrival of the LG Optimus L7 II Dual will surely be applauded by many.

Further down the LG Optimus L7 II Dual specs sheet we see a dual-core processor running at 1GHz. Its make and model, however, aren't known at this time. The screen is said to be of 4.3 inches and made using IPS LCD technology. Judging by the leaked images, the smartphone will also have a front-facing camera, and its main snapper is rumored to offer 8 megapixels of resolution. Impressive, to say the least, is the beefy battery the LG Optimus L7 II Dual will likely come with – a 2,460mAh cell, which should be able to provide up to two days of active usage on a single charge. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will come pre-installed with LG's custom user interface layered on top of it, along with several apps, such as Quickmemo, QuickTranslator and QSlide.

The source of the leak suggests that the LG Optimus L7 II Dual will arrive in February and Russia will be among the first markets to get it. Its price should be hovering around 13,000 rubles off-contract, which equals to roughly $432.
