LG Optimus L5 launching in Europe this month
Once upon a time there were three bears handsets living in a log cabin in the woods. The LG Optimus L7 was the heavyweight amongst the trio with a 4.3 inch screen, a single-core 1GHz CPU and the Adreno 200 GPU. There was a mid-range handset, the LG Optimus L5 with a 4 inch screen offering HVGA (320 x 480) resolution, a single-core 800MHz CPU and the same Adreno 200 GPU. And what story about a trio of handsets would be complete without the low-end device, the LG Optimus L3 with a 3.2 inch screen and resolution of 240 x 320. A single-core 800MHz processor is included along with 384MB of RAM.

Our story today focuses on the middle device, the LG Optimus L5 which will be launching in European markets sometime this month according to LG. To be more specific, the phone will be offered in the UK, Germany and France, according to the Korean based manufacturer, followed up by releases in the CIS, Middle East and Asia. Launches in Central and South America will follow.

The rest of the specs for the LG Optimus L5 includes 4GB of storage that can be expanded with the use of a microSD slot and a 5MP rear camera with AF and LED flash that captures VGA video at 30fps. And Android 4.0 is pre-installed out of the box. You can check out our hands-on review which includes video of the device in action.
