LG just confirmed today at its press event in New York that the first brand-name handset with quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset and LTE connectivity will be hitting US carrier in Q4. Previously we've heard November, and that's a good ballpark estimate, considering that LG plus carriers want to catch the busiest shopping time of the year...

Man this LG is sounding great. I've never had an LG phone before. Can anyone tell me their thoughts?

Build quality can be iffy... software is usually their downfall.

I've loved every LG phone I've ever owned, although the Chocolate Touch was a bit rough. I liked my Revolution and I'm fine with the Spectrum, but this thing blows everything away. I'm just skeptical of phones with built-in batteries...it's like saying: "great...you can get along for more than two years with a phone? Not if you can't buy a new battery, pal...". Piss.

Okay now I have a really think this out and do my research on the LG, Samsung or the dreaded iphone 5...good thing I have time until two of these phones come to the market. I'm leaning more towards quality over features

I have the Galaxy Nexus now for Verizon and I am really leaning towards the LG Optimus G. But I really ant to see what Google will offer with the new Nexus phone. I think after LG all newer phone will come with the S4 pro and LTE. Even Samsung is including the 1.6ghz quad core exynos with verizon lte, something they were not able.to offer with the s3...

Seems like LG wants back in the game again. I guess that management shake up was the best thing that happen to LG. I used to own many LG phones such as the LG chocolate ( never updated and fell behind, LG's mentality if you want updates buy a new phone) LG Dare ( never updated and fell behind, LG's mentality if you want updates buy a new phone) and LG Arena( never updated and fell behind, LG's mentality if you want updates buy a new phone). LG's track record for updates and user support was pathetic. I vowed never again to get and LG phone I moved to the iPhone 3gs and Later iPhone 4. I still have that sour taste in my mouth from LG. however, this device looks great. but I think the Samsung Note II is my next phone/tablet.
