LG Optimus G gets its bootloader unlocked

Users of LG's marvelous smartphone, the Optimus G, who also happen to be fond of unlocking bootloaders, rooting, and such kind of dirty stuff, can now finally get to work...

Don't have one yet. Hoping to get one sometime soon. But I have to buy it used, I gave my wife my upgrade so she could get a Note 2.
If it wasn't for my Sprint line being my second cellphone I wouldn't even consider the Optimus G. Fixed batteries are a deal breaker for me normally. Because I kill my work GS3 batteries so fast during my work days that I always need to swap out my battery halfway through the day. So luckily the Optimus G would be a backup play toy. I can't wait to get my hands on it again...so sexy.

sounds like they are still having issues with LG and the security lock down, so be aware of the risk and always make a backup first

LG Security has been removed in new update FreeGee v0.5 have fun all. Props to Shelnutt2 =)

Picked my Optimus G up at Best Buy yesterday for $100 !!!! This is awesome news!
