And Apple thought Samsung copied them? Change the button on the G Pro, remove the branding and most people won't know the difference between it and the Note II

And the Beauty is...Samsung will NOT sue LG cause a phone looks like theirs!!.

Good ole cell phones days before Apple and their BS Lawyer!!

i can assure you Samsung would sue immediately if there was a sales threat. They're still a business

I doubt it very seriously (base on past history); bucky, this is how the cell phone industry work prior to Apple getting into the cellphone business;don't take my word for it, do some research yourself, they all had similar looks.

I doubt that. There have been examples of phones that look like Samsung phones, however they never sued

The fact that Apple took this suing business so far doesn't mean that from now on no one should sue no one else for patent infringement, or design related matters.
However what I can see here is that Koreans really have zero inspiration in design... Someone should tell them that if they cannot do it, there are also design consultancies in this world...

--Wow!, you have no clue what-so-ever on the evolution of the cell phone with a comment like this..The Koreans(as you call them) played a major role of cell phone design!..Palm-Nokia-Motorola-RIM- Sony- play parts on the hardware/software side of the cell phone... You really need to Bing/Google the history of cell phones before comment on who's who..
Even MS contribute a little bit to the Cell world.

Dude, you confuse technological superiority with design. But they are completely different topics. Korean smartphones are extremely technologically advanced but consistently poor in terms of design. There are only three smartphone manufacturers that make original design; Apple, Nokia, Sony.

i remember the LG Prada line, but that still doesn't excuse an obvious copy of Samsung's Galaxy S/Note line. an argument about round corners is like saying Michelin tires copied off of Yokohama tires. there's very limited design options when it comes to corners on a phone...some attributes of a phone should be fair game for any manufacturer i.e. round corners.

I like LG designs and they have their fair share of nice ones like the Prada and the Optimus G. Not sure why they went with this direct note 2 copy but I am sure they have their reasons. Maybe they though the Nexus 4 was a success because it looks just like the Galaxy Nexus from the front. Who knows.

Samsung has been pushing updates to their phones a lot faster than other OEM's. Jellybean rolled out to the GSII, a phone that's almost two years old. Sony has great designs, I will give them credit, but their UI is the reason why I pick Samsung over Sony. Just my opinion.

Probably has something to do with the fact that they make the best overall Android phones.

Strange thing is that out of all the phones that I owned last year, HTC and Sony ones were the only ones that I had a problem with. Great build!

And Plus Samsung and LG use two completely different types of OLED screens, I mean look at the screens, The Samsung Colours pop way more due to the Saturation of the AMOLED screen, so unless yoou know the name of the screen tech you would never guess that they were the "same" screen

It has something like that!
And you can control transparency too-so basically what you do is set transparency for both at 100% and resize them to fit half the screen each. Simple as that!

First of all we cant compare a 2012 phone with a 2013 one. On these days 6 months makes huge differences. Second, GN2 is about features.. and in that item i still dont see any phone that can compete against it.

For those of you that own the Note II, you know it's going to take more than a couple of spec improvements to top the software advantage that I believe Samsung will maintain.
