whoa.. if we are indeed getting multiple Nexuses this year then I would like to wait untill first reviews before deciding to go with one. but Gnex II would be my personal favourite.

I don't know, I really have to check this so called LG Optimus G Nexus. The display is going to be killer, the quad-core Krait S4 Pro with Adreno 320 is literally the king of the world, all of this with 2GB of RAM makes for one really EPIC Nexus device.
Also Android 4.2 is just the icing on the cake. I do have a feeling that it will still be Jelly Bean & not Key Lime Pie. Shoot it might not even be 4.2. It might be 4.1.2. Lets see what comes out from all of this.
This phone is officially on my radar ESPECIALLY since the EXYNOS 4 quad-core has lost a lot of developer support.
Here is a link on that:
I feel happy with this news so +1 to all!!!!!

WHAT THE f@#$@%!#$%!$%!$%^!$^!$%!#
I finally get a chance to get a full exynos phone and Samsung goes and pulls an apple!?!?!?
They better change their minds. Theyve been the most open with the community for the longest time. Turn your back on the community and see how that word of mouth bad talk spreads.
And I just upgraded my SGS1 to a flawless running 4.1 lol.
Your right, the LG just got a boost in desirability until Sammy gets their head out of their ass.
39. ZEUS.the.thunder.god (unregistered)
but Remix I still have a strong feeling that Sammy would be very supportive as always. they wont do anthing stupid.

If LG pulls this, then maybe there is a chance of seeing a quad exynos GN2. If they do that, then dev support will be garunteed anyways.
You just ruined my day SAE.. and I have a wedding to attend.. Shame!
37. SuperAndroidEvo (Posts: 3394; Member since: 15 Apr 2011)
remixfa, I am sorry. I really wanted to get the Exynos Galaxy Note II but after I read up on that I only thought of you.
It actually pist me off too because I really love the HUGE beautiful RGB Super AMOLED 720p HD screen. I was in a daze for quite some time. To me Samsung has to fix this, the hardcore want great devices to work with & if they do this the Note II will not be looked at.
At least this LG Optimus G Nexus looks very competent. Hey it's a Nexus with the WORLDS most powerful processor. That has NEVER happened before.
Bro enjoy the wedding, have fun & drink your sorrows away at the receptions bar if you have to. My intentions were not to piss you off, just to let you know some CRAZY news that I personally would have never expected.

lol, no worries. it didnt ...affect me... (sniffle sniffle).. that much.... :(
Yea, It peeves me though. We still have a month or so to find out if they reverse course and go back to the old ways. I think if there is enough internet bitching, they will reverse course. They have before. They've been pretty sensitive to the needs of their hardcore fans, so unless they just think they are too big to have to care, they'll change back. If they think they are too big to care, then they can go F- themselves... even if it means me having to get a Krait pro quad.
Ooooh Omap5 where are you!?!? :)

I agree also. I have a feeling the way Samsung has been lately that they will have a change of heart.
PLEASE lets hope so.

yeah lets wait & watch. may this year Google has something more for Nexus fans. Sammy is my personal favourite though i would like to see what others can bring to the table.
Once the next Nexuses are here i would try to sell my Gnex and get the new Nexus.
44. SuperAndroidEvo (Posts: 3394; Member since: 15 Apr 2011)
That is funny. Is it Nexuses or Nexus' or Nexi? lol
I REALLY want to know that. Personally I am bummed with the Samsung Exynos news. If they don't get it squared then I will get the LG Optimus G Nexus. Or if the Nexus 5 is real I might check it out.
I am not happy with the Samsung Galaxy Note II.

I think the term "Nexus" can be taken as plural as well as singular, so it can be said both ways. Nexi seems like it could be another term too, though.
I was kind of bummed whenever I heard HTC would be making a phablet Nexus. Even if the bezel is minimal, I'm still on the fence about it. Right now I'm hoping that there will be a Motorola Nexus, even though it's really the only one that hasn't been "confirmed" yet. But the LG Nexus seems promising, I think it's the first LG device I've actually considered buying.
I really only want to take the LG Nexus as sort of a last resort though... Even with its monstrous spec count, the name "LG" just kind of makes me cringe away. HTC, Motorola, and Sony will be battling it out for me if their offerings are even the slightest bit more appealing than the LG. Even if they have the dual S4 Pro instead of the quad, or 1 GB RAM instead of 2, I'll probably get a Moto or Sony instead of LG. But I would still like to have a minimum spec count of dual S4 Pro and 2 GB RAM if possible.
As for Samsung... I don't even know. I've never really liked anything about Samsung other than their processors and displays (though they hurt my eyes a bit). And since I don't put cases on my phones, build quality matters to me as well, and something like the Galaxy Nexus again just won't do it for me.

I can respect that. I hear though, that to have a Nexus badge the phone HAS to meet Google's STRICT standards.
So if LG gets the Nexus badge then you should feel comfortable with them. I am seriously looking at this LG Nexus real hard, but only if it has a minimum 32GB if they don't include a microSD card slot. If they do include the microSD card slot then I am fine with 16GB.
I have 2 32GB microSD cards. lol
51. Berzerk000 (Posts: 3264; Member since: 26 Jun 2011)
I agree, if LG passes the Google Nexus test then it should be alright. Guess I'm just doubting LG, but Google will make sure they're up for the task of making a Nexus device.

23. mio15 (Posts: 25; Member since: 21 Mar 2011)
It is a bit of a suprise, that Google is going with LG for the next Nexus. Not a bad move at all but i would have expected another Samsung device or at least Motorola. Since Motorola is a part of Google, they are doing pretty well in design and software of their phones. Never had the chance to see the Optimus X4 in action, so i hope they ironed out the faults of the earlier Optimus line.
It would be nice if a official announcment comes very soon.

try it out at least. The specs are great. Gizmotakeout will help you decide
38. kindlefireowner (Posts: 232; Member since: 05 Dec 2011)
Android Lover's are so gullible. 2 days ago Jelly Bean was the best thing Google ever done. 2 days later, now you want 4.2. What does 4.2 do? Less than 10% of android user have Jelly Bean. I love android but I don't think the kool-aid. Since Google mention 4.2 does that make the S3 outdated. if you say yes, you need to back up from the cup.
42. ilia1986 (unregistered)
No. No phone is outdated if it's hardware is capable of running the latest Android version at acceptable performance.
So no - the SGS3 is not going to be outdated at least until Android 6.0 :)
43. ilia1986 (unregistered)
This is going to be awesome - Key lime pie is my favorite pie type. :D
47. The_Innovation (Posts: 508; Member since: 18 Jul 2012)
The major release will be Android 5.0 to see real changes. 4.2 will just fix a few things 4.1 has, but no dramatic changes or additions.
But regardless, let the games begin!
58. nexusrocks (Posts: 7; Member since: 06 Oct 2012)
Well try it out, you may like it. Sounds like it is more fluid and faster than older skinned versions at least
52. animeware (Posts: 22; Member since: 14 May 2012)
Holy $***** my Galaxy Note doesn't even have Jelly Bean official firmware and they are coming with 4.2 I hope Samsung will put out 4.2 Firmware for all devices soon.....
57. nexusrocks (Posts: 7; Member since: 06 Oct 2012)
That is unlikely, all OEMs stop supporting older phones.
54. ilkinandr92 (Posts: 40; Member since: 07 Aug 2012)
Ok so here is a question LG Nexus seems as it will have everything mostly the same as AT&T LG Optimus G. So if Nexus comes with unlocked bootloader would it be possible to do the same to Optimus G theoretically?
56. nexusrocks (Posts: 7; Member since: 06 Oct 2012)
You will have to try it out to be sure. Gizmotakeout will have it to try out
55. nexusrocks (Posts: 7; Member since: 06 Oct 2012)
This is phenomenal, They are using a less tried OEM but the specs are great. Love to try out Android 4.2. Gizmotakeout shows a mid November release
