LG Optimus 2X has started to go into pre-order mode over in Europe
Specifically, Expansys over in the UK is offering pre-orders for the handset which is going for the price of free with certain Vodafone contracts. Moreover, you can pick up a SIM-free version of the handset for the extravagant cost of £499.99 ($800) – but then again, you have to take into consideration that it's packing a dual-core Tegra 2 chip-set under the hood. Now even though you'll be able to place your pre-order through Expansys right now, don't expect to see it arrive on your front door any time soon seeing that it's slated to ship March 21st.
Additionally, Danish store Ellos is also offering pre-orders for it at the price of 3599 DKK ($650) with a ship date of February 25th. Obviously, it's nice to see some concrete dates with the LG Optimus 2X since there is no word yet about the potential of seeing a US carrier taking hold of the handset.

I bet LG sells more of these in its first week, than Apple did with the iPhone 4. Dual core, big beautiful screen, quick web browsing, competitive pricing.. What more can you ask for!
However, IMO if it wasn't for LG's poor track record releasing firmware updates, I'd be swapping my Nexus S for it for sure... I will probably hang on to the NS until HTC get with the dual core scene :-D
