LG Nexus 4 full preview appears
Just as promised, the Russian tech blog that's got a hold on an LG Nexus 4 from the testing office nearby, posted a full preview of the handset, and it certainly looks like a great addition to the Nexus lineup, with a sharp 4.7" 1280x720 pixels IPS LCD display, featuring the same in-cell touch tech found in the iPhone 5. Also similar to Apple's handset, it features a micro SIM card tray loading mechanism.

The folks Tech Onliner say that there was indeed no memory card slot, and just 8GB of internal memory on the prototype unit they have, which seems to be indeed a very early preview unit, considering the benchmark scores that the monster quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro with Adreno 320 GPU got.

The camera samples don't look bad either, even those inside, but the previewers mentioned that it was obvious the software wasn't ironed out still, as automatic mode behaved pretty erratic, sometimes boosting contrast and saturation, or mangling the white balance at will.

Hopefully the news on the storage front and the benchmark results will be better for the final retail version, which should be announced later this month by Andy Rubin alongside a new Android 4.2 version (the prototype was running Android 4.1.2), and eventually land on shelves October 29 for $399 SIM-free, sold directly from the Play Store.
