LG Nexus 4 prototype full preview appears, featuring a SIM card tray

0. phoneArena 15 Oct 2012, 02:25 posted on

The LG Nexus 4 certainly looks like a great addition to the Nexus lineup, with a sharp 4.7" 1280x720 pixels IPS LCD display, featuring the same in-cell touch tech found in the iPhone 5. Also similar to Apple's handset, it features a micro SIM card tray loading mechanism...

After selling more than 20 million units it would'nt be s3 which needs to worry about insecurity. lol

If they are aiming for a more midrange price like 400 dollars off contract they may be sacrificing some capacity. the average user wouldnt really need much more than that anyway. If you dont put music or video actually on the phone then its perfectly fine for apps to have 8gb, even if its 5-6gb after os and other files

Because they are not to be sold, why would pre-release hardware have more than that, they will never go on sale /slap

Don't forget they mentioned that this was just the prototype, so there's still a chance that the retail version can come with 16GB or even 32GB

Why would they increase the cost of building a prototype by putting in a higher capacity storage?

Because pretty soon internal storage isn't going to matter. As long as you have personal cloud storage you're going to be able to stream things like music, movies, and pictures from your home storage. Check out Western Digital's My Book Live setups. Its awesome.

anyone got any ideas on what the green dot is about in picture #9? if this phone has LED notification, it will be a cherry on top

Yup, LED notification, placed exactly where it was on the Galaxy Nexus.

its either a notification LED or a Uranium depository where a nano drop will give you an estimated 48 hours of talk time and up to 2 months standby battery life...
...ofcourse its an LED why else would they post that pic

I am itching for a new Nexus phone but only 8 GB storage option is a bad move. Still waiting for official announcement.

buy this 8gb for $399 and a nexus 7 8gb for $199 will just cost $598 only for 16gb...

That way you can enjoy double battery life, enjoy big 7 inches screens and can operate with one hand when anwering the phone :)

I'm kinda envy that all iphone cost same price with 16gb and cannot enjoy the big screen like android user has... you should think at the positive site when you considered it...

hope my budgeting for you is useful :D

Guys, onliner.by is a Belarusian site, not Russian.
I guess you don't see the difference, but I'd like to see more respect to my country :)

So happy this is an early prototype, that means there might be a chance of a different pattern on the back glass rather than that bedazzled look, maybe carbon fiber-ish like the pattern on the Optimus G for AT&T. Can't wait for this to release.

I wonder if samsung can do a better job than this? Not that lg nexus is bad but i expected more. in terms of audio quality, memory and camera

Its an early prototype so hold off your judgments until the product is released for consumption, I might get the LG Nexus depends on how good the camera is but I expect it to come with 16GB, which is what kept me from buying the Galaxy Nexus and went with S2
