Only minutes after we found out that the LG Nexus 4 can be pre-ordered in the U.K. through Carphone Warehouse, we came across this spy shot of the retailer's inventory system. The image reveals that in Old Blighty, the smartphone will cost about...

At least this doesn't have a massive Verizon logo right on the home button. I'm pretty happy with my iPhone 5 after coming from a Galaxy Nexus. Don't think I'll be going back to Android again after all the phones that just slowed down on me over time.

How old are you? I don't think you're old enough to actually have even owned everything you talk about. Someone is a bit young before they can boast any knowledge about technology and what is really beneficial.

yeah right!
buddy just dont go trolling around doing ads for the iPhone 5 here...this is an article about LG nexus 4...if you have something to comment on that then please do and dont go off-topic.

I for one think this phone is great and Jelly Bean's pretty sweet too :) (pun intended)
And yea a white version would be welcome and I would also keep an eye out for the price States side because UK prices have a lot of taxes included
But all in all a great phone...LGs hardware is always top-notch...its their UI that';s the problem but not witth this phone because this is stock android baby!

You know what for $10 you can get a back plate for ur galaxy nexus(verizon) which doesn't have a logo... I hate carrier marks too but i just am a bit smarter.
The G-Nex got faster and smoother with the new Jelly bean update... Android upgrades never slow down your phone... Perhaps you were using the iphone 4 thinking it was a G-Nex

Go to a restaurant, and see the phones people have around you. I'm willing to bet the majority will be iPhones.

yes its called successful marketing. Doesn't mean the product is the best and all those people have probably paid more for less

Its called common sense. But I suppose every else is crazy and you are absolutely sane.
...ever stop to think that it may be the other way around?

EVERY phone gets slowed down over time. Look at the iPhone 3gs. I takes about a minute just for it to load your text messages once the button is pressed. I think iPhone is the WORST for slowing their products down with updates!

Sorry pal. Youre not fooling me with that assertion. You may argue that android does more than the iphone and that is correct. You may also argue that theres more free stuff, also correct. But the main reason for apples success is the reliability of their limited featured iPhone. It does less but it does it reliably well.

How else can you explian why an used iphone 3GS still sells for $200 after 4 years of existence. I certainly dont think its because it slows down over time.

Sorry mate, but someone buying a 3GS after all this time, that too for $200 is officially an iTard.

I find it funny how Apple fans sound proud about paying way more for way less. This has been said many times, but the iPhone is a smartphone for not so smart people, and this troll just proves that point

i find it incredibly hard to believe that 3Gs are still BOUGHT at $200 (maybe listed for sale but are people actually buying them? THAT would be incredibly ignorant of iphone owners..... havent looked in a couple weeks but right BEFORE the iphone5 came out iphone 4 (not 4s) were going for about $190-$210 all over florida.

Actually I bought the first nexus One by HTC. Cost me $670 with shipping. I also bought the second nexus cost me $600. By the time the third nexus came around i said "no thanks" im not getting screwed by Samsung again. This LG is just as expensive but actually sounds like its worth every penny.

I'll probably sell my iphone 5 and get this. I'll wait for the reviews first. Nice thing about my iPhone 5 its like a bar of gold, i can sell it at any time and get what i paid for it. Cat say that bout my old Nexuses :/

looks like the real deal. Im really excited about taking it for a spin. Also I think Google will be continuously rolling out updates for it unlike my Nexus One that got stuck with 2.3 gingerbread.

Nexus 4 $630
vs
AT&T LG Optimus G $550

I think i would like the optimus better because it has
microsd slot
looks better(my opinion)
cheaper
no on screen buttons = bigger screen

you cant do a direct price comparison. EU pricing includes VAT taxes which we do not have in America. I cant remember if its 25 or 30% on top, but if its 25%, that brings the price to about $475 and if its 30% that brings it to $440, which is the realistic pricing rumors we have been hearing... about $450 at launch.

The author doesn't understand how economies work.

£390 is more likely to be equal to $520 in the US.

What an awesome spec'd phone. Oh wait, it only comes with 8gb of internal storage and no mirco SD card for more memory expansion. What a total dissapointment. Terrible, stupid decision on someone's part. How do they expect anyone to be able to use that small amount of memory? That is the thing that will make me pass on this phone!!! It has everything except someplace to store your information. If someone needed to save a buck, then they need to re-evaluate their design process. Charge a bit more and put at least 16gb of internal memory and an micro SD slot. PLEASE!

Well priced at the top of the market but i would love to buy a nexus 4 if google has priced this phone for around 400$ or more lesser linke nexus 7 but still love the nexus 4 as it has top notch hardware, best software update and a good looking camera!!!! Well done LG and GOOGLE:-)

Well the internals are great so people should stop hoping the price to go less than $550. But if it will come with 8gigs of memory. What's the use of that hardware? And with LTE, it will be filled with data in no time at all.
