LG KC910 is touted not only as the slimmest 8-megapixel phone, but also as an all-in-one device with Dolby sound and support for both DivX and XviD for high-quality video playback…

LG made FW upgrades to give their phones better video recording. Besides, it's not like the screen isn't good enough as it is, that's why LG is using it.

I'm thinking of getting the samsung omnia at the moment as its perfect for what I want my phone to do although if this has similar features only better, I might hold out a bit longer for this... does anyone know when it might be released in the uk and if it will be on windows mobile or if not what inplace?

oh and a QWERTY keypad would be good as I don't fancy the idea of a on screen touch one as I'm a keen texter and can't imagine this would be fast and simple.. prone to errors I would imagine

Nope, easy as... hardley ever make mistakes on the viewty and it's just as fast as a physical keypad.

nice phone!!! i liked Viewty and also liked this one hope it is not overpriced in my country (india) like the iPhone.

One good thing about the Viewty is the manual focus and so many other set-ups for taking pictures. Hope this new KC910 has the same or better features to go with an 8Mp camera.

you're all idiots. I didn't say anything about the iPhone being the first touchscreen phone now did I. However, I did say that most phones released after the iPhone have an extremely similar design to the iPhone. LIKE, the VOYAGER, the HTC TOUCH PRO, and THE INSTINCT. If you read my post right, you probably wouldn't have been so upset you goons. You're all idiots. The iPhone is by far the best phone available right now. Unlimited applications that work flawlessly, accelerometer, awesome screen, and iPod. It's the easiest phone to manage your contacts, music, movies, calendar, etc. and with MobileMe, it pushes everything to your Computer and MobileMe online account. I've heard of complaints about the service, but I have never had a problem. Now please don't tell me that Windows 6.1 OS is better than that. You will be exuberantly laughed at.

I will copy and paste again Hi, you are very ignorant and uninformed. Moto created the first touchscreen phone in 1999, and LG the first candybar style phone in around 2006 with the LG Prada, also the first GUI of its kind (four main icons on the bottom of the screen). P.S. It has 3 buttons and a large screen on the front. BTW, you are ignorant to see that Apple may have copied the design, and the other companies may have copied the design from another company.

Wow! Lots of pent-up anger here! Must be an iPhone user. It's okay, anon-san. Jobs' boys will get this thing fixed PDQ. If these M$ fanboys keep giving you problems, just point out that Bill copied the windows and mouse concepts from those good old boys at Xerox anyhow ... well, come to think of, so did Steve, et al. But that's another whole topic, eh? Gotta run ... :-)

the iphone is a great music/3g phone this however is not a music/3g phone its a cam/touch phone - anyone interested in the camera aspect of a phone would not be browsing iphone at the moment, because thats where their product lacks. yes iphone is good, but in this case its horses for courses and as i just said .... people interested in a camera phone, will not feel that the iphone is the best phone out there, simply because it doesnt do what they want it too ... take pictures.
