Last month, well after speculation began that LG would introduce a LG G2 mini, we received a tip from someone obviously well connected to LG. He sent us a User Agent profile that showed that the LG G2 mini would be model numbers LG D618 and LG D620. The information he sent us also gave us some information about the 8MP camera on the back, including the different resolutions it will offer: 1280 x 960, 2560 x 1920, 3200 x 1920 and 3264 x 2448...

No LG, you're doing it wrong! Put an SD800 and an HD screen on that thing!

It would be LG G2 Lite or something. We have seen LG G Pro Lite around.

Say it isn't so! The LG G Pro Lite was an awful device, hope they don't do the same with this one.

Right... we thought that after the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, the competition would learn, but alas! If the rumours become true both the HTC LG G2 mini and the HTC M8 mini will be again mid-rangers with a marketing inflicted name.

For a mid-ranger in 2014, a qHD screen wouldn't suffice. I'd say an S600 processor, 720p screen, 8MP with OIS, non-hyperglaze-like back would be good. I wouldn't mind the screen size as long as it's nearly bezel-less as the G2.
