LG G Pro 2 to sport 77.2% screen-to-phone-size ratio, thanks to ultra thin side bezel

The LG G Pro 2 has leaked in full bloom already, including its specs and design pictures, but now LG itself has spilled some beans on the nitty-gritty of the chassis build. Turns out that the screen-to-phone-size ratio is the whopping 77.2%, thanks to the almost non-existent 0.4mm thin side bezel, which basically means that at the front this device would likely be all screen. Given that the volume buttons and power/lock key are at the back, the G Pro 2 might turn out to be rather compact for a 5.9-incher...

For some reason, I am having a hard time digesting "phone-to-screen-size ratio" -- shouldn't it be the other way around, the screen to phone ratio, e.g. the amount of screen real estate to the total phone?

Right. I wish LG do that on G3 among other improvements (better camera, xenon flash, microsd, removable battery(not likely), usb3. Just dreamin'

YES!! I have been thinking LG is really bad until I saw the G2. I still don't like LG so much but they are improving which will make other brands step up the game too. Hopefully Apple and Samsung in particular but Samsung is really bad.

I thought I read somewhere that battery was supposed to be 3500 mah

An ample battery of 4.000 mAh would be fit into a 8mm thin body.

I love LG and their UI but the build quality needs massive work. Loved the O/G build

That beats the Xperia ZL's 75.84% ratio! I bet this "screen-to-phone ratio" or "phone-to-screen ratio" term is going to be common after Sony and LG will be using those more often.

That's a somewhat dubious honor. The bigger a phone's screen is, the better of a chance it will have of having a larger screen to phone ratio. Think about it. Imagine a 4" phone with similarly sized bezels as a 6" phone. The latter will of course have a greater screen to phone ratio.

hopefully the g3 comes out at the right time the g2 came out a a horrible time and its sales reflected that.

Is screen to phone ratio a meaningful statistic? Do people in the real world actually discuss this?

It boggles my mind how phone companies think releasing products at the speed of light mean market dominance. The phone company who comes up with a device based on well though innovation that has legs to stand the test of time will be the ultimate winner. If you look at APPLE now and a smart watch on the way I think they are on to something. While phone companies blow their brains out releasing anything and everything, there sits the 5s with a smart watch on the way. Will there be a 6? Probably but with companies like LG, Samsung and others out of control I can see Apple doing the blue chip thinking turnaround and making people see the light. I have owned and in many cases still do have many of these top products. What am I using? An Iphone 5. Why? Because I am using it for what it is meant to be used for. Talking, texting and emailing. Anything else......frills. Oh maybe with the exception of Google Earth.

By the way, this ratio business. the human eye cannot even see it.

How do you measure those ratios? Because looking at the new flagships, for me they look like having about 90%-95% of screen to phone size...

defintely sound awsome.
-must have sd card slot
-removable battery, otherwise lock it up if >3500mah
-capacitive button. i hate onscreen button.
i was wondering if anyone knows the screen to phone ratio for my note 3?
