LG G Flex official, offers "self-repairing" back cover, horizontally curved 6 inch screen

0. phoneArena 27 Oct 2013, 22:23 posted on

On Sunday night, LG announced the LG G Flex; the device uses a flexible OLED screen technology to offer a 6 inch display with a curve along the horizontal axis. The display offers resolution of 720 x 1280. Thanks to the curve, the phone is 7.9mm to 8.7mm thin at various points. Besides the cool look, the handset has some serious horsepower with a quad-core 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood...

hurry and file the patent before samsung copies that. i can't really understand the decision of samsung's designers in the way they did their curve.

You should check out the 2011 Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The Nexus has curved glass and similar design to LG Flex. Did you know that Samsung owns a Time Travel Machine?

To be honest unbreakable is more valuable to me then 1080p on a handset. However that doesn't mean I don't want that. This is why I never buy first gen tech.

I'm just a bit more focused on the background, seems that LG finally made something that doesn't look like designed by a kid at the elementary school.

When Apple released their iPhone Curve, it will be the greatest innovation and i$heep will line up months before announced.

The front of the LG looks exactly like a Note 3 without the front button.

Showing that you can create a curved phone is cool. However once a mobile company brings out a phone that is flexible and not just curved in one place, it will need to make it as powerful as a static phone.

People will not buy a truly flexible phone if it does not have the latest specs.

It still think the LG Flex is much better than the Samsung Round.

3500 mAh?!! How did they manage to put it in a curved phone? No one can complain about the specs. if the the curviness doesn't prove to be a terrible inconvenience, this seems like a great phone

next phone hopefully!! Awesome device!! Can people be quite about the fact they don't see the point of a curved display, the point is that it is cool, easier to hold and hell a gimmick that will sell it is also a sign of progression otherwise we are jut stuck with the same boring devices!!
