What ever happened to the LG Enlighten? The low to mid range Android phone was last seen in Walmart's product guide, as we reported, priced at the sum of 97 cents with a signed 2-year pact. Of course, you wouldn't confuse this with say, a Motorola DROID BIONIC with its 3.2 inch screen and resolution of 320 x 480 and the absolutely primitive 800MHz processor under the hood. Did we mention the 3.2MP camera that was considered something so cutting edge-back in the day of the LG Dare. Android 2.3 is pre-installed.

We originally expected the phone to hit on August 25th, which has come and gone with no sign of the device. But now the latest Verizon product guide shows that the LG Enlighten is "Coming Soon". Verizon hasn't published a price or a launch date, but we think that Big Red will probably seek more than the 97 cents that Walmart was asking for the phone.
