Yeah it's only pressure sensitive. My friend has the voyager and texts using the eraser on his pencil and some rubber thing on his keychain lol. No heat there.

To post# 4: Do you sleep with your i-phone at night? Or use the vibrator of the phone for other purposes? Apple is not god. I hope you enjoy all the static and line noise you get with gsm. I hope when the real I-phone killer comes out one day, they name it the "worm" Because worms eat apples.

A Verizon rep. told me to visit this site for information on their up and coming phones. I will not be back, or at least I will not scroll down to view the comments. I had know idea how anal the world is regarding these things, and how non-productive you all are with your time. If you must argue over such "stupidty", please try and keep the immature, volgarity out of your comments. There are kids and others out there that are not accustomed to such eloquent vocabulary. I have wasted enough time here. If you like the phone buy it, if not don't. I will have mine next week and return it within 30 days if it isn't what I expected. It is as simple as that.

Read all of the above comments you will understand. If you agree, you are not one of those that I was referring to. thanks.

To be quite honest, there are usually a lot more intellectual people that post on these comments. However if you are reading through a 100% opinionated comment board and not expect to see some foul language. I agree that when people post things like that it makes them look immature and stupid, but this site is actually amazing for the most part, so don't knock this site or these boards.

not only did you scroll down to view the comments, but you commented twice. do us all a favor and don't come back like you said. And this "bickering" is pretty informative. I'm finding out information that I didn't know about both companies and phones.

actually the screen for the voyager is not heat sensative. other than coverage, how is at&ts 3g compared to verizon? i agree apple is boring..the ipods and their computer have that stupid boring/grey interface...i agree i love it and Verizon is the best network as a whole, howver some will disagree, because where someone lives they may get full service with at&t but have searching service with verizon...this phone looks sweet, but im just curious...are any phone companies ever going to try and compete with the iphone? like having that huge glass touchscreen, good email or other stuff? also, im very happy this phone has REV A because that will really enhance web browsing. i have the voyager and love it, the future for touch screens is endless

Wait for the touchscreen Blackberry, they will probably be able to compete. I've heard the heads at RIM hate touchscreens, so my guess will be they won't be satisfied with a so-so touchscreen. I'm guessing they will put together a very good phone.

In fact The Samsung Instinct from Sprint is the Iphone & Iphone 3G competitor Go check out the review even this website says the Instinct is the iphone competitor

It's already been stated that the instinct is not even as good as the old iphone.

So is the touchscreen on this phone similar to the iPhone? I just like the sensitivity of the iPhone and I've been waiting for Verizon to come out with something comparable in sensitivity so I can go back to a network that works in my area... I've messed around with the Voyager, and Glide and not impressed with the sensitivity or the accuracy. If anyone REALLY knows the answer and doesn't want to post more rage, I'm all ears....

i doubt any phone will reach the responsiveness of the iphone. im a curious as you to see how nice this device comes out to be. it just seems like these companies are more worried about adding more features instead of perfecting the usability of it. thats what made the iphone so successful. the responsive touch and the easy UI makes the phone really fun to use even if it does lack some features

I agree completely. I was excited for the next iPhone to make up for what it lacked in the simplest area - MMS. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and pick up a Dare and if all else fails they have a 30 day return period.
