LG Banter hits Alltel

A letter from Alltel Wireless reminded us of the LG Banter release yesterday. Just for the record, the Banter is Alltel’s version of the Rumor 2, and is designed for users enjoying fast and easy messaging with a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard. In relation to this, the Banter features also a „chat-style” (threaded) messaging interface. In addition, it comes preloaded with Alltel Email, Yahoo! IM and AOL IM.
The LG Banter is now available at Alltel retail stores and online at a price of $19.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. The price is for existing or new Alltel customers who sign-up for a two-year service agreement. A second Banter or a Samsung HUE II is available for free with a second two-year agreement.
