The Kyocera Hydro Elite is a new smartphone from Verizon Wireless. One of the main features of the device is that it is water proof, not just for occasional splashed, but is rated to withstand water up to 3-feet in depth for 30 minutes. It also comes with a 4.3" 720x1280 display, 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM, 8MP camera, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, and a 2100mAh battery.

water proof? it's the same rating as the galaxy s4 active. 1 meter 30 minutes....

It's a common misnomer when it comes to phones. No such thing as a waterproof phone. Water resistant.
