King to develop Activision's second Call of Duty mobile game for 2017

Activision paid a lot of money to acquire King studio, the developer of Candy Crush Saga games, back in 2016, but rewards have yet to come.

Well, it looks like Activision will soon reap the rewards of that acquisition, as King is now developing the next Call of Duty game. Surprisingly, this would be the second Call of Duty game that Activision has in development at various studios.

The first one was announced last month and is developed by Chinese studio ELEX, which suggests that it might be aimed at the China market rather than to a global audience.

Unfortunately, Swedish studio King did not disclose any details regarding the Call of Duty mobile game they are currently working on. However, the studio's job announcements suggest a new team will create the game, so we're expecting something rather new that has nothing to do with the games developed by King until now.


Four positions are now open at King, so if you're in the gaming industry and want to give it a try, here is what the Swedish studio is looking for: Art Director, Level Designer, Senior System Designer, and Senior UX/UI Designer.
