Apple's sold out WWDC 2012 will kick off with the Keynote speech on June 11th at 10am PDT; unlike past years, because of the new launch schedule of the Apple iPhone which is around the holiday shopping season, the next-gen version of the phone might not make an appearance...

Take note, this is how you handle smartphone events and releases.

I agree. If a product is really going to have a "groundbreaking" effect, it needs a well-put event to demonstrate every aspect of the device. Apple understands that, and it is easy for them primarily because they release a couple products each year. Samsung's event was nice, but I found the blue lighting and repetitive song a bit annoying. Also, I believe demonstrators should be people that can clearly speak the language they're presenting with. Apple isn't quite perfect either, I feel they sometimes exaggerate a bit too much over what their product can do. But anyways, I'm really excited to see the Mac refresh, and hopefully a sneak peek at iOS 6. I've got my fingers crossed for further iCloud integration and improvements on the notification center. But only time will tell.

Apple do not screw up. Don't put widgets otherwise u just are a bunch a copycats which means you guys lost your steam. Be different from the competition. This is your chance to shine. Really rooting for u guys b/c so far not impressed at all.

putting widgets does make them copycats, but if it is what apple decides is best for the product and the people want it then why not? its not like apple, google, microsoft and everybody dont copy ideas from each other… -- no apple should not copy the same design as say the HTC clock widget, but there is no reason they should not use the same application of "widgets" in general…

most of these people are advanced app-developers who will make more money than 1600 from the experience they gain… this isnt some 1600 fan club ticket…

I dont see apple releasing ios 6 before a new iphone because every new major ios update from apple has come with a new iphone and this is something apple have never changed but who knows with apple :) Imo we will see ios 5.2 before we see ios 6 but I hope I am wrong and ios 6 is released and of course the iphone 4 will be useless with ios 6 and it will for sure be time for an upgrade

They will present a copied Samsung, with up to half of its internal components made by Samsung... in white with an Apple logo, then it will be marketed as magical and revolutionary. Grow up, people.

I cant wait to see what apple offers next, I am hoping for a few features and I think it will mainly be software and I dont see apple announcing ios 6.0 just yet especially so long before a new iphone is going to be announced, but with apple who knows any more? they hate us knowing their release dates but with a major update we have always seen a new iphone and this is something that has never changed so far in 5 years of there being an iphone, with ios 2.0 we saw the iphone 3G released and with ios 3.0 there was the iphone 3GS.. you can see where this is going and I would be surprised if apple changes this now and even more so if they release a new iphone not even a year after the iphone 4S was released
