Jelly Bean (slowly) rolling out to all Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi units
Share:
Did you pick up a Motorola Xoom XOOM Wi-Fi tablet? If so, reports are coming in that the Android 4.1 update is past the soak test phase and has started to push out to all owners. To see if your number has been called, head into Settings --> About Tablet --> System Updates and see if you can pull down some Jelly Bean goodness for your device.
The update is just for the Wi-Fi variant, as Verizon (and international carriers) would have to approve the update prior to getting pushed OTA. If you need to while away the time waiting for the update to get pushed to you, you can check out our Jelly Bean review, or head over to this article to see Motorola’s Jelly Bean change log to get a better idea of what’s coming.

The Xoom is a solid product it sad that Motorola never really marketed the device at a correct price point and the advantages over the OG iPad. The whole Verizon partnership thing really killed it in my opinion.

Got the update today...
Seems much snappier. Connects faster to my media hub and streams Rhapsody via Bluetooth with seemingly less buffer. Shrug. Just got the update....time will tell.
Xoom wifi lays on my bed...under the dog half the time...and performs really decent. Great tablet for having at arms reach.
