Jelly Bean ROM leaks for Sprint version of Samsung Galaxy S III
Even though the Android 4.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S III is expected to arrive as soon as this month, those rockin' the Sprint variant of the phone don't have to wait for the update. A leaked version of Android 4.1.1 for Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S III has been put onto a ROM at XDA developer's forum from where you can install it on your model. Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz skin is part of the update, along with the latest build of Android.

There is plenty for Samsung Galaxy S III owners to look forward to with Android 4.1.1 including silky smooth Project Butter and Google Now. Unfortunately,  a few XDA  members have reported apps crashing and problems with the gyroscope. And speaking of things going sour, prepping your phone for the ROM will void your warranty and should you try to install the ROM and end up bricking your Samsung Galaxy S III, your basically out of luck.

Despite the potential for trouble, there are those out there who want to control everything about their phone, including when to update it. For you guys, knowing the consequences, you can head to the sourcelink to find everything you need to load Jelly Bean onto your Sprint variant of the Samsung Galaxy S III. Just do us a favor. If you do complete the installation let us know how Android 4.1.1 runs on the Galaxy S III. Simply leave a message in the box below. In the meantime, checkout the screenshots below.
