Surprised? I guess you haven't been looking at recent independent studies that show Sprint either right there with VZW, or just behind them (in voice quality and coverage). Data is flipped around, with VZW either right there with Sprint in data speeds, or just behind. CDMA FTW!

im not surprised peoples perception of sprint is very outdated!

no its the cutomers fault for making uneducated assumptions based on there friend who 10 years ago had a sprint phone and had bad coverage

Wow, how old are you, 8? All you do is boast about the Storm and Verizon. Stop bending over backwards for them and act like a normal person.

Oh folks, and there we have it, yet again! I just don't understand why people even bother boasting about their lousy, lousy GSM networks. Yes, AT&T has the iphone, but once again, we see AT&T's network is worthless! Tell me something iphone lovers...what good is your precious little phone since it's on such a shitty network? VZW + Storm = success! Sprint's network is decent, if you can find service...

I have never been without signal with my iPhone yet my friend who has the Instinct gets no coverage all the fricken time. I Have driven from Kansas City, MO to LA with no loss in coverage. And in my area it's all 3G with (atleast) a 100 mile radius. The Storm is just crappy phone in general, terrible touch display. But, I love the Pre, atleast what I have seen about it.

You may have a good experience with them but there have been at least 3 outages of voice, data or both in all regions of the country, granted not all at the same time

I'll take my Storm's touch display over your iphone any day of the week. I don't know how I'd use a non-surepress touch screen after using my Storm. There are SO many more options with the advantage of surepress technology. And what was that about the surepress tech winning an award for the best innovative technology at MWC in Barcelona? Sit down you fool! Now that I think about it, I WOULD use an iphone to wipe my ass with! Of course I'd prolly have to download an app for $10 to do it!

Glad you're backing off the wild "Storm outselling the iphone" claim but what does that one immature device have to do with Sprint moving up in the rankings?

GodFather is GAY... that'sy he'suckin' on vzw DICK!

the storm is crappy? it is outselling the i phone states wide, and has i phone users dropping that apple junk for some TRUE 3g speeds with GSM and CDMA support and it can get more apps for free than any other device out there. bb storm ftw and your forum mods are hilarious for deleting my posts, I will just keep on posting.

Where are you getting this Storm outselling the iphone madness? RIM in general but not the one particular phone.
24. The Spartan posted on 25 Mar 2009, 22:09 0 0
If you compare the sales numbers of the BB Storm against the Original iPhone 2G, the BB storm is in fact outselling the iPhone. I could post the numbers, but I'm too lazy to post them a second time on these forums. They're in one of my earlier posts from a couple of months ago. Oh, and in case you're wondering why the original and not the 3g, it's just not fair to compare a device that's in its first generation with a device that's well into it's 2nd generation and about to be in it's 3rd generation. There's a good chance that if the BB Storm was in it's 2nd generation, looking at the sales numbers it very well could be outselling the iPhone 3g. But that's all speculation. We'll have to see how the 2nd Gen Storm does against the 3rd Gen iPhone. That'll be nice.

I call bull, if you don't back it up with a link or tell up where the info came from it's conjecture. Again what does this have to with the topic?

You can call Bull all day long. I felt I didn't have to back up it up with a link since the rest of the people here, were there when I zapped Hova with the sales numbers months ago. I managed to dig up a portion of the post, tried to cut out as much drama as possible. Here ya go. RIM sold 500k. Rock on. If you're come off like "ZOMG GUYS, THE IPHONE SOLD SOOOOOO MUCH MORE, STFU iPHONE HATERZ!!!" then yeah dude, I'm gonna call you an imbecile Apple fanboy. Don't like it? Don't sound like one, simple. Oh, and by the way, on those facts, can you back that up please? Because...it looks like according to dailywireless.org, Apple in the 3rd QUARTER, not first month sold only 233,000 activated iPhones (2g). Wait, what? Yeah. Facts huh? Mhm. Riiiiight. There's your numbers. Keep calling BS, I can't say I care.

sprint made it? oh wow! that's a very big surprise with all the issues they are having.
31. DonLouie posted on 26 Mar 2009, 22:07 0 0
Isn't that grand, a convoluted number because it doesn't account for the phone it is supposed to compete with, so that's still bull. If you are going to split hairs about it makes the argument lame because the Storm came out well after the 3G. What does this have to do with Sprint gaining ground on Verizon as far as data and voice coverage is concerned again

I like how the Storm actually IS 3G. While the first I phone just pretended to be. Code Division Multiple Access FTW!
