What? What does that post have to do with his spreading "false info"? Yeah, Lockscreen lag issues fixed with the last update to 2.3.6 (besides, I use Go Locker, something you iDiot will never see). And if a 2D game lags, its not because the phone can't handle it, my SGS2 can play games like Deadspace, Nova and Shadowgun with absolutely no problem and buttery smooth too. If a 2D game lags it's the game not beng fully compatible with the phone yet. So stop sprouting your nonsense and "false info" you iDiot...

for designing things? since when do you earn knighthood without doing anything that is some way beneficial to society. dont get me wrong, im not knocking Ive, but its a real problem when you just get knighted for having some fame. It used to actually mean something when you were knighted.... now it just means your famous.

He's not the first to be knighted for that and he wont be the last.

For having some fame? I think you should read the article a couple of times, read the source and watch the video's.

I'm pretty sure my reading comprehension is in tact. Other than designing iPhone and MacBook what has the guy done that has benefitted society to award such a high honor? Nothing. He's just a famous brittish citizen.

So the people from the New Year Honours List in the UK and people who grant knighthoods in UK (not USA) against your opinion (USA guy): "it's only for the fame". choose now.

BTW, Steve Jobs is candidate for Grammy "for contributing to music industry". When you realize that this is not contributing to "music", but to "music industry", it becomes clear why Jonathan Ive is knighted also...

umm.. no.. no it doesnt. John Ive designed consumer products.... same as thousands of other people. Just because the company he works for has a cult following doesnt make him better than anyone else.

I dont think Jobs should get some sort of crap posthumous Grammy either. The only thing Jobs did was centralize an MP3 store, throw on tons of DRM and take a cut off the top. He didnt create one note of music and he didnt "revolutionize" anything. It was just another evolution of what was already out there.

People throw around words too often that dont mean what they are trying to use them for.

He should get a pat on the back for making the music industry conform faster than they would have otherwise to a digital music store..He already got his pat on the back by the billions he made off the iTunes store.
Should he get an award for it too? No..
