It's showtime for Firefox Mobile for Maemo - officially launched
Not long after the availability of the third release candidate of Firefox Mobile for Maemo, Mozilla has placed the green lights for a final release of the web browser. Bye bye beta versions and release candidates – “the most modern mobile Web browser available” has been announced by Mozilla. Firefox for Maemo 5 brings along all the wonderful features and experience that the desktop version of Firefox provides. Some of these include weave-sync, add-ons, the Awesome bar, location-aware browsing, desktop synchronization, and support for more than 30 languages. You can start experiencing one of the few browsers available right now that can even handle the most intensive things like Flash. Now the next step for Mozilla is to tackle the growing user base for the Android platform – it’s speculated to come in beta form sometime around in February. In the mean time though, Maemo users can lay claim to having one of the best mobile browsers available.
