Compared to once a year on average for the US, Philly residents report their handsets MIA twice as often, says the security firm Lookout. The service, which helps locate misplaced handsets, amassed anonymous info from its 15 million users and found out that Philadelphia had the highest rate of lost handsets, followed by Seattle, Oakland, Long Beach, Newark, New Jersey, Detroit, Cleveland, Baltimore, New York City and Boston...

Hmm... just something about Philly I guess. I'm originally from there and it's the only place I've ever lost my phone. I've been all over the US & the rest of the world because of military service and it's the only place it's ever happened.

I wonder if there is a big black market for stolen smart phones in philly if there is maybe that is why so many are stolen there by coworkers , family or so called friends who are not friends or the phones are stolen by acquaintances who know where to go to get a buck by selling stolen smart phones
