If you've been to Japan, you know that mobile phones have been able to use NFC for payments on vending machines or pass access at train stations, but things are moving much slower in the US. But, Isis is looking to help move things along by adding NFC to (some) vending machines...

Ug wish this would hurry up! Id love to be able to go up to a vending machine and use my phone to get a soda instead of searching for change(or just let me use my damn debit or credit card)

I'm a student at the University of Texas at Austin and almost ever one of our vending machines (and there are a lot of them) works with Isis. I've also noticed huge amounts of advertising (on the sides of our Metro buses) and people have been generally receptive of this service.
