Is your Samsung Galaxy S4 screen giving you the scrolling blur and purple/pink inversion treatment? You are not alone

We are experiencing some of those with our own Galaxy S4, and dismissed screen issues with the phone as isolated incident, but we got sent link to a whole XDA thread, then we saw another one, which are now dedicated to various blips with the touted 5" Full HD AMOLED display from Samsung...

Build quality issues plagued the GS3. You'd think with the billions Sammy made they'd have better quality control.
I like how PA was trying to play it off as an isolated incident until a nice thread on XDA proves that wrong.

Unless they flash a AOSP rom and show that this is still happening, this could be a problem with the custom UI/custom ROM and not about the screen.

LOL! Open your eyes! PhoneArena has S4 ads plastered all over it... See the article how short it is! They didn't really want to post it, but had to do it for the sake of reporting all tech news. For a site such as a PhoneArena which favors Samsung so much, it must be believed with all heart when they post something negative about Samsung's latest flagship phone. On top of that, they did say that they have tested on their own devices and were able to confirm the reported flaws.

So.. what you are saying is Samsung is more generous and willing to spend on Advertising. Good!!!
Unlike the cheapo fruit that too cheap to spend on anything, keep trying to get free product placement.
Life is too short to be cheap!!!

What i'm saying is that the editors of this site are obviously Samsung fanboys and/or getting money to promote Samsung in the reviews/exposure/etc, so anything negative about Samsung's products must ultimately be true! And any reviews about non-Samsung devices, such as the lower score given to the clearly superior HTC One, should always be taken with a grain of salt. There is absolutely nothing about the top contender HTC One at the top of the main page for this website and likewise for their youtube channel main page.

So, what you're saying is anything that you believe must be true, anything you don't must be false. Got it.

Well there is at least TWO thing that makes the S4 better than the HTC One. The camera quality and the storage space. At least in my observation.
But then again, who am I to speak for the S4? I LOVE Samsung and have always trusted their products. But I'm also open-minded when it comes to a good phone or bad phone.

Advertising has absolutely nothing to do with generosity and Apple spends tons on Ads.

Ok you are definitely taking this to an extreme. The GS3 being "plagued" is an exaggeration at its best.
When you mass produce ANYTHING in high quantities some hic-ups happen it's the nature of the whole process.
The same can be said of the Samsung Galaxy S IV. You need to just chill with that & take it one step back.
If Samsung was crap as you are alluding to then why is it consistently one of the best phones in the world, also why does it sell so well to the mass public?

You are right, actually de iPhone it’s a great example, recently there was a report for over 8 million defective iPhones that had to be sent back.
27. Mxyzptlk (Posts: 13548; Member since: 21 Apr 2012)
I'm not taking anything to the extreme. It is what it is and you know it.
The GS3 was plagued with issues when it was released. There several PA articles about them.
28. tedkord (Posts: 11888; Member since: 17 Jun 2009)
So obviously you'll admit the iPhone 4 was plagued with antenna issues. Right?
39. Mxyzptlk (Posts: 13548; Member since: 21 Apr 2012)
Obviously that has nothing to do with this discussion.
46. joey_sfb (Posts: 5809; Member since: 29 Mar 2012)
Everything you have ever said is about Apple vs Samsung!
You are like the virgin mxyzptik (read no social life!) in the Apple Cult. Every time you open your gap is how Samsung has taken the form of prime evil. How Apple has made you whole. Please bow to your Apple shrine.

Why avoid the question? By your logic if it's good for Samsung THEN it must be good for Apple right?
Or are we biased here? lol
70. Mxyzptlk (Posts: 13548; Member since: 21 Apr 2012)
I'm not avoiding the question. It has nothing to do with the article or the discussion.
80. tedkord (Posts: 11888; Member since: 17 Jun 2009)
But it does have a lot to do with your motivations for posting about fictitious "plagues" of build issues on the GS3. We just don't want any passersby to read your words and mistakenly think you are unbiased or knowledgeable.

Is your search engine broken?
86. tedkord (Posts: 11888; Member since: 17 Jun 2009)
Cracks in the rear cover? Then clearly bending of the cheap aluminum frame of the iPhone 5 would also make your list of build problems.
88. Ninetysix (Posts: 2445; Member since: 08 Oct 2012)
Yes clearly. Now what? It's fine for Samsung to have these issues because you can somehow point a flaw of another device?
it's okay for me to beat my kids because my neighbor does the same.
97. SuperAndroidEvo (Posts: 4847; Member since: 15 Apr 2011)
Hey you beat your kids because you want to. lol
107. tedkord (Posts: 11888; Member since: 17 Jun 2009)
If you read my initial statement in this article, I clearly said it was unacceptable and that Samsung had better come up with a quick fix or a full refund.
Mxy said the S3 was "plagued with build quality issues," but as always had no facts to back it up. Mxy has agenda - to badmouth anything Android or Samsung, and to praise anything Apple. My question about the iPhone 4 antenna issue was simply to expose his hypocrisy to all. IIRC, at the time he denied there was any issue.
95. SuperAndroidEvo (Posts: 4847; Member since: 15 Apr 2011)
Ok so then answer the question. We all know it has nothing to do with the article, YET it is a valid question.
Again or is it that we are biased here?

U r just pathetic, w8 for chance to qq on Samsung and like others companys dont have problems with theirs phones releases.
U God Apple have made more billions then Samsung, still have antennagate problem and IP5 with dents on the sides. Worst, Jobs denys the problems and blame peoples holding it wrong. Also u are avoding to answer others questions, coz u have nothing to counter it with.
85. tedkord (Posts: 11888; Member since: 17 Jun 2009)
It has to do with your definition of a build quality issue, and whether you will admit to one an Apple product clearly (and scientifically proven by Anandtech and CR) had. You won't, because your only mission here was to spread lies about the S3.
77. ecmedic4 (Posts: 336; Member since: 02 May 2013)
Ill admit the iPhone 4 had antenna issues, i had one with ATT. The GS3 did have issues with the back cover cracking around the camera. Also i think there was some issues with getting high yields of the blue one for awhile, or something like that. BTW im new here.
59. SuperAndroidEvo (Posts: 4847; Member since: 15 Apr 2011)
Nah you are just taking this to the utter most extreme. Name me anything that is mass produced that is 100% perfect without any defects what so ever.
Let me answer for you.... there are none. Why? Because there is always some faulty units that get out because of the mass production process.
Again just take it easy with your crazy talk there.
