Looks "okay," but unfortunately too little, too late. It will be difficult for RIM to entice those who have left Blackberry for more full featured OSes (i.e.: Android), thus the market share for RIM is once again locked to a "business-centric" following. Also, the re-growth of RIM does NOT just depend on a richer interactive experience. We also have to look at App development and over-all platform expandability - both are severally limited in RIM's situation because of hardware limitations and an extremely closed system. For die-hard Blackberry fans, the possibilities of OS 6.0 are obviously very exciting. For RIM's market share on the other hand, not so much.

Agreed. They have to find a balance between what they do best (work and email and such) and what they need to catch up on... which is mostly app development. They need to get a lil geek exitement going. Noone ever talks about "ooh that BB has a snapdragon and XXX ram"... like the do with Android and now Windows phones. Making it flashier is definatly a step in the right direction but they really need to push some sizzle. BB is all steak with no sizzle.. Apple is all sizzle with no steak..(admittently id rather have the steak over some useless sizzle, but still) Find a happy medium like Android did and MS is trying desperately to do.

You guys are right on. but i would add that if MS is making a come back RIM certainly can. But it is critical for them to get the developement side going.

I guess RIM decided to take a UI that's been successful and make it "better" I guess.

If they can couple this with new apps that don't cost $4.99, they may be on to something here...

Garbage will still freeze and require a battery pull once every two hours. F*** Blackberry...go die with Palm.

i consider that a user error. you do not need to do a batt pull every two hours. maybe stick with your lg8300, that may be a better fit for you.
