Several cases of an unpleasant imperfection on Apple's iPad 2 have been reported. When a dark image is displayed on...

Ok, so this site does a lot Apple stories; other sites to the same either with Apple, or their favorite manufacturer. This is a surprise to you, because...?

So what. Apple has been successful in their model. Microsoft has also been known as the evil empire. If you go back far enough, IBM, Sun, Oracle, etc. Have all been so aptly named. If Apple's business model weren't successful, do you think they would still be in business? So they clamp down on their products, as they don't care for modding, jail breaking, pwning, pick your favorite verb here. Again, so what? If you don't like their products, DON'T BUY THEM!! If you don't like the articles about them, DON'T READ THEM! If the website ticks you off on their choice of content, GO TO A DIFFERENT SITE! If you don't like the comments, DON'T READ THEM!

Lol. The problem is that most other companies have learned from their tyrannical pasts and have reformed; Microsoft, you name it. Apple has not learned and has insisted on their business model since their inception. More recently they have gotten their hands on master marketing experts. They also got really good at making their products pretty.

I first came to this site because it seemed to be pretty comprehensive and non biased. But recently the site has gone in the direction of total fanboyism. So I protest. I'd rather not leave, but if it gets to be too much then I will.

Why are you shouting again?

Yes leave and go to a website that gives Apple products bad reviews like they deserve. Oh wait there isn't any tech websites that give Apple bad reviews and every tech website makes a big deal about Apple product launches. Hmm…

this site has been very pro apple for a long time. The only thing that has gotten worse is the grammar. Also, many of the news storys (which are pulled from other sites) are now days behind other sites instead of hours. Dunno whats going on, but there are things slipping.

I come here more for the conversations than anything. lol Laughing at tards, and sometimes saying stupid things myself just to keep the threads going is entertaining.

If all ipad2 has this issue, then it's a problem. If not, then it's nothing more than an isolated case that's bound to be blown out of proportions by NON IPAD2 users :)

You mean like when an initial shipment of Droid Xs had screen issues? Yeah. Don't act all innocent. At least Moto and Verizon apologized and hustled to replace affected units. I won't wait up for Jobs's apology or promise of replacements. They couldn't do it for Antennagate. Why would they do it now?

But the fact that the ipad2 still sells more than its rivals is proof that it's still the better device. The consumers have spoken, and ipad2 is the best. And there's nothing haters like you can do about it.

or maybe apple crap is just more trendy? even if it isnt as good?.... BINGO....

ever notice how apple takes all the credit from the media? even for the things it doesnt deserve?

apple can stamp its logo on a cell phone from 1990 and itll sell like hot cakes. doesnt make it good tho.

Why would Apple apologize if they're not at fault? You're not holding your phone right, so it is your fault :) You should be thankful that Apple takes time to care to teach people how to hold phones the right way :) See how great Apple is?!

Just like Christianity being the biggest overall faith in the world means that the God of the Bible exists, right?

Killer marketing and good looks can make anything outsell the competition.

Okay. Okay. I get it, Gemini. I get it. Congratulations, it's funny. You're a damn good troll. I suspected it at times but in the end you had me fooled. Well played, sir. :)

And why drag Christianity into this? Geez you're so pathetic.

Don't hate Apple and its users for Android devices' incompetence to sell.

I'm an ipad and iphone and mac book user, posting in an Apple article, and you call me a troll? Lol. It's like calling me an intruder in my own home. You're officially stupid :)

*ahem* The Motorola Droid sold more in its first (was it 100 days? Can't quite remember) than the iPhone did.

Yes, yes I will compare iFanboys to Christians, at least the zealots. Some Apple users are like Catholics; they believe, they pay their dues, but they live their lives and move on. iFanboys are like the young earth Creationists. And Android users are the rationalists. iFanboys subscribe to one word, the word of Jobs. They follow his commandments.

Android users have one thing in common: their distrust of Jobs. They acknowledge the good Jobs has done and the good philosophies he's introduced, but they lack faith in his divinity and don't subscribe to his faith. Instead, they pick their own philosophies, some of which may share values with Jobs. They'll pick Motorola, or Samsung, Verizon or T-Mobile. But they all steer clear of the myths which Jobs preaches. And they are usually the better for it.

I like this analogy, actually. It works. :)

Here are your choices: admit you're a troll, or admit that you really were stupid enough to post what I just copied and pasted above and MEAN IT.

It's self explanatory why that was a stupid thing to say. Don't insult my intelligence, Gemini. The jig is up.

Its like Conan O brien had in his now famous ipad 2 promo video.......the fanboys will buy it not matter what we say. Its funny though the idrone reaction to the faults and defending it,its like they said in the matrix movie, those trapped deepest in the matrix will ultimately be the ones trying hardest to defend it!

Yes. There are sucky Android based phone models. This is recognized and I have addressed this concern in my comment post which also discussed that evil which iFanboys despise: fragmentation. But Apple makes one phone a year, one tablet, and a few computers, none of which undergo any drastic design changes. They had a year in which to make sure bull like this didn't happen, and they failed.

Hey Apple, give your fan boys free cases. This time the case needs to be dark black that can cover the whole display and blocks all leakage. It's a simple fix.

Yeah I've been having the same issue, only mine has three very large, very bright yellow leaks on the bottom near the home button. I'm returning mine this Friday.

You may want to hold off. This happened with iPhone 4 where basically the glue from the factory hadn't dried off and was causing the yellow spots. It fixed itself in a couple of weeks when it dried. Google it.

Yeah, wait until you can't get an issue resolved anymore until you go in to try to resolve it.

Why the hell would Apple send units out with undried glue and sell them? Are they really just that lazy?

Their product is in such high demand that they rush it out the door. Why would Xoom sell a tablet without the software supporting flash and sd cards. Two features that are supposed to differentiate it from the iPad? Are they lazy or incompetent for selling an unfinished buggy product?

They shouldn't have to rush their product out the door. These are units which were in stock, or should have been in stock, weeks before launch. This is the backlog they built up to try to meet demand. So if they're having issues with undried glue now, what's going to happen with the freshly manufactured devices? Are they going to just completely fall apart?

The Flash issue is easily explained: Motorola and Adobe held out until Flash 10.2 was out to add it. And Flash was promised, and will be delivered only a few weeks after launch. As for the SD card support, that's supposed to be fixed soon too.

But, ye who is so quick to judge software shortcomings, how many things did the iPhone lack? Like picture messaging, which pretty much every phone had? Or a camera flash? How about a decent camera?

Add to this that Apple had an entire YEAR to improve on an EXISTING PRODUCT and get it into production. And what did they do? Threw in just enough so it looked like they were being competitive. The only piece of hardware in that slab of plastic that is in any way competitive is the GPU. Otherwise, the iPad will now be an "also ran" in the specs department.

Oh, it'll outsell everything and the Bible. But high sales don't equate to high quality. And when people are once again sick of Apple being control freaks, as has happened in the past, then Apple will finally once again put forth some effort to jump ahead of everyone. Except for this time, stagnation among Apple's competitors is no longer likely.

You guys really need to cool it with the abuse of the upthumb/downthumb button. By you guys I mean the iFanboys.
