Sounds like apple. Trying to squeeze a few more shekels out the same outdated tech. Didn't Obama cover this already? Something about lipstick on a pig?

Nope its just going to be something else all other tech companies scramble to try and out do, and ultimately in terms of selling, will fail at.

Expect the iPhone 5 to be equipped with a 4 inch retina display. The question is whether it will have dual core processing. And I wonder if VZW is going to demand LTE capability on their edition?
But still no Flash support....

Do not expect a 4inch screen. A 3.7 inch is highly unlikely let alone a 4 inch. Apple is much smarter than that. A 4inch screen might satisfy you self-proclaimed "geeks," but think about all the other users it'll turn off.
I think we can expect a dual-core processor though.

Didn't Apple already say that there will be no smaller version of the iPad? I don't doubt that the iPhone 5 will have a 4" screen as it seems like the rigt thing to do. But Steve Jobs has already said no to a smaller iPad.

technically this wouldnt be a smaller iPad as it would have phone capabilities, which still leaves it up in the air if this is going to be the iPhone 5. my question is if it is going to be the iP5...will it hit Verizon at launch. my worried about that than anything.

*i am worried about that more than anything

Way to defend Apple...
Sorry but Steve Jobs is already at the point where he can say anything and the mass will believe him whether he contradicts himself or not. It's the idiots who aren't able to think for themselves that still follow him.
"It's not an iPad! This one can make phone calls"
What's he going to do? Make a 6" iPod touch and say "anything bigger than that is a tablet. I also have the final word because I'm Steve Jobs."

im not "defending" Apple im responding to the post if you pay attention to the string. the comment that was made was "didn't Apple already say that there wouldnt be a smaller version of an iPad". my response was related to regardless of that statement made a iPhone with a bigger screen could be in the works which would validate the statement b/c its not an iPad its an iPhone.
As far as your rant...what was the point of it? LOL. you go off on this tangent and you were completely missing my point. People on this site are so hyper-Apple sensitive...u can type the word Apple by itself and some self-righteous smartphone revolutionary feels the need to share their philosophical view point. settle down...they're only phones kiddo...its not your mission to educate the "masses" on why Apple is the devil. Geez...are you still a virgin?

Well put Cricket. Some how our society has become a tech phone version of Westside Story. I can't be your friend because I have a Droid and you have a Iphone. Really?!?! because I thought I was allowed to buy a device based on whether or not I like it. Grow up people.

These clowns change their minds every other day, all the while copying everyone else and then being hailed as having near psychic intuition into what people want. They're a joke.

Lmao Apple "copies" others... no thats something you dont hear everyday. Start speaking with your mouth instead of your ass.

Jobs said there was no market for a tablet smaller than the ipad and that if they were made, no one would buy them. Now they are planning to build one smaller after seeing the smaller sizes take off. They are copying tablets smaller than the ipad which are now popular. Any questions?

What smaller tablet has "take off"? The Galaxy Tab? The one that hardly sold 3 Mil what the iPad has gotten up to a good 60?
And lets not forget how the Tablet space was sought after only AFTER apple released the iPad. Even if they do make a smaller iPad Apple isnt "coping" anyone because they pretty much created the tablet market in the first place (Not saying they were the first to make a tablet computer)

So they dug thru the bin of other peoples ideas and found one that works. And they sold a bunch, all at the beginning of the trend, and will quickly slide back into the 3% market share they hold in computing. That's 3% in the US, .0 something% world wide.
And then they speak all authoritative on the item they copied from someone else, as if they are the Rosetta Stone of tablets, and quickly plan to make what they said nobody wants, because they were wrong about what people want, again. Color me impressed.

Yes, Apple was the first to produce X86 computers. Everyone knows this.

They invented the telephone you know... I think it was Applexander Graham Bell. The telegraph, the computer, the first mobile phone, the first digital music player, the first tablet, the first touchscreen device, the first smart phone, all of it is original to apple lol.

Hell, Steve Jobs created the Universe, then sued God for patent infringement.

I think the majority of legacy iOS users like me will be saying "who really cares"...
It'll have the same o shitz iOS anyways. After owning iPhones since the very first 2G in 2007, the OS remains relatively unchanged, and after 4 years of it, its just so damn mind numbing dumb boring rubbish.
I hope Jobs is reading this because IMO, iOS really needs a 2nd generation facelift, like ASAP - maybe Apple would be better spending all their Foxcon worker suicide profits on that right now.. How about it Steve?
