The Meizu MX6 will be unveiled on July 19th, according to an invitation being sent out by the manufacturer. The device recently ran through the AnTuTu benchmark test revealing that the phone will come with a 5.5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. A MediaTek Helio 20 MTK6797 chipset is under the hood, carrying a deca-core CPU and the Mali-T880 GPU.

There could be two versions of the phone, one with 3GB RAM/32GB of native storage. The other is expected to feature 4GB of RAM/64GB of native storage. A 12MP camera adorns the rear of the device, while the 5MP camera on the front of the phone will snap selfies and handle video chats. As we told you a couple of days ago, Meizu has no idea where this phone fits in its lineup. The Meizu Pro 6 remains the company's flagship handset, sporting a 5.2-inch screen and a slightly more powerful Helio X25 chipset. The MX6, with its 5.5-inch screen, could end up as Meizu's phablet offering.

The Meizu MX6 will be priced at roughly $300 according to Meizu co-founder Bai Yongxiang, who posted the information on his Weibo page. Mr. Bai also revealed that a lot of the technology on the handset is taken from the Pro 6.
