0. phoneArena 19 Jan 2013, 13:41 posted on

The so-called Portico update is now rolling out to the international versions of the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia Lumia 820 and includes a fix that helps improve the camera which has been producing some blurry pictures even in daylight; the update has already been received in the U.S. and new models are coming out of the box with the update...

It's nice to see Nokia giving it's customers proper attention and care, via routine updates. It was unfortunate that the company previously almost went broke. However, the Lumia 920 is a highly capable device, and proves they can still compete with the very best products by Apple and Samsung. If they can continue to produce innovative products of equal or better quality, then I fully expect Nokia to regain it's lost footing...

Ps.) All you WP8 haters --- suck on this ;o)

It's nice to see Nokia giving it's customers proper attention and care, via routine updates. It "is" unfortunate that the company is still almost broke.
However, the Lumia 920 is a highly capable device according to NOKIA and their fans, and proves they can still "compete"?????? with the very best products by Apple and Samsung.
(Very funny thing is I only can see this speculation from you guys. Non of experts and analysists(Neutral) use Nokia is "COMPETING" with SS and Apple..All they can say "Can they?")

If they can continue to produce innovative products(Are u talking about before Smartphone? Then YES) of equal or better quality, then I fully expect Nokia to regain it's lost footing...
(Please just don't expect...you and I are not experts but we can still "EXPECT" but even if those experts can expect with "DATAs and FACTS")

Ps.) All you WP8 lovers --- Keep living in your "SELF-Comfort"

Ps.2) Please don't use "BEST For your precious company and product"
How the heck can best company and its product satisfy only with their TROLLS making NOMAL PEOPLE not even think about considering thiers??

I think other people might take your comments more seriously if you could do more than just write broken fragments of sentences. Regardless, why is it that so many people here diss WP8? I have to laugh, since their personal info and banking information is easy to grab off their insecure Android devices. You may have a million apps to choose from, but there's also a f--king boatload of viri being circulated, and as I have stated before, Android will never be accepted by the business world, cause it's a cauldron of malware...

Also, Nokia's hardware kicks ass. The 920 is a tank that can withstand anything, including mindless criticism from Android and IOS fanboys. The company is deserves credit for pulling itself back together, and building a flagship smartphone that gives everything else on the market a run for it's money***

"I think other people might take your comments more seriously if you could do more than just write broken fragments of sentences"

This is what exactly I want from you guys
Stop talking shxxxx give me a reasonalble theory based on reasonable datas otherwise just be quite and use a word like "Hope" or "Dream" and stop making People confused by spitting "BEST?????" to OTHERS

I am in the field selling those DEVICES including NOKIAs but I am not supposed to say a word like you just mentioned:
"Nokia's hardware kicks ass. The 920 is a tank that can withstand anything, including mindless criticism from Android and IOS fanboys. The company is deserves credit for pulling itself back together, and building a flagship smartphone that gives everything else on the market a run for it's money"

Do you think you can say that to nomal customers?
If you keep saying that, I will bet my dixx on that all you will get back are suspicious eyes and sneering or judgement (NOKIA USED TO BE GOOD COMPANY EVEN FROM YOUR FATHER'S GENERATION)
and you will get fired very next day

If you wanna say "something is BEST for you"
I can understand but just "BEST"

I rather believe the "BEST" from iphone users cause at least they have a lot more proofs that NOKIA has not even single

Imagine the reactions when people hear things below

Apple is best - um.. maybe or no!
iOS is best - um.. maybe or no!
Samsung is best - um.. maybe or no!
Android is best - um.. maybe or no!
Nokia is best - what????? or they were

Oh btw Why did you even bring Business Market unless you wanted to prove yourself as idiot?
So NOKIA is aiming to be like BB
Is that what you said?
WOW That's even WORSE!!!

Then go compete with BB

"Best" is relative. It depends on the opinions of the device owner. As a salesman, I prefer to point out the merits of each phone, and allow the customer to make an educated decision as to which phone is "best" for them. Lately, my customers have been more apt to pick out the Lumia 920 over the iPhone 5... and even the GS3. Also, customer satisfaction with the L920 has been pretty high. I'm not saying it is the "best", but to some it can be. Try to keep an open mind.

What you own you should have every rights to do what ever you like to you're device, just like buying a car and raising the EMU engine management unit, to gain power and d throttle. More like you are! You must love standard products? Like to play with power i7 with 8GB Ram Rad eon Gtx 6 series, then over click the GPU and over clock the i7 to 3.8Ghz. Go enjoy you're Pentium 4 with 1 GB sluggish ram, joker!

Shows how desperate you are flooding up Nokia topics like you do.. I get it.. Have your buggy stutters on ICS just so you can have flash.. I feel for you, it's okay, you don't have to live like that. There are better choices.

I just remember I had not any bad opinion about Nokia but all of sudden I had since I have seen your Trolling

custom roms available on android because android's device manufacturer very slow and very lazy to release firmware updates.

9 major OS updates in the past 3 years is lazy? How stupid is that. That would already put Windows mobile behind Android wouldnt it. Slap yourself please.

Yeah, you sure need 9 updates (major ones) in 3 years if the previous ones don't play too good for the hardware. In other words, android needs to be sent back to the drawing board for optimizations.

On the contrary. Android evolves with technology as it advances. With better technology they could do more and use it. So you're saying staying the same is better? I guess iOS is for you.

"Evolves with tech as it advances." Yeah sure, all tech things do the same. I haven't seen a product where the (n+1) generation was behind in tech to the n gen product. "Staying the same is better" obviously if the themes don't keep on changing with every single iteration. There's an inconsistent UI throughout Android, thanks to the custom skins that manufacturers put. Before you tell me to root the device, i'll say the average user doesn't want to void his warranty by rooting which may even cause his phone to brick if not done properly. "I guess iOS is for you" yeah because I don't know what is good for me. Case in point: There are options to android and I'm pretty much aware of what I should go with. Stop preaching you android is for everyone policy.

Yeah... So you have more choice to pick what you like as a response to everything you just said... If you like touchwiz get Samsung... if you like naked roll with Nexus... pretty dumb thing to say, but "if you say so"

Having more options is soooo unfortunate... maybe not...

Its not Nokia its scrap WP8 and Nokia I use to love so much till that useless Flop discontinued there N and 8800 series! Look at the sales of N8.....? The only good thing about WP8 is that its frame rates are capped at 90 frames per second, and OS and iOS are at 60!

Well back when I had my Droid Incredible. I had like 3 I think.

Eclair-Froyo-Gingerbread

Ive had two versions on my GS3.

ICS - Jellybean

Not all Windows devices have the latest firmware, so please refrain yourself from dissing yourself.
