A Dutch blog has somehow gotten its hands on what appears to be an authentic T-Mobile Netherlands e-mail that outs the dates which will see the release of three of the most anxiously-awaited devices of 2014: the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Sony Xperia Z2, and the HTC M8...

If HTC releases its flagship after Samsung... It's all over... They need to try to release about the same time or their will lose their chance to steal some market from Samsung.

Unless the HTC M8 has better specs than the GS5. At this point it seems unlikely.

The real problem with HTC isn't doing well is because they lost momentum at the beginning of the smartphone war. Now they are paying for the price, because average consumers know Samsung as the big name in Android and that's a lot of deciding factor for most of them. They don't care about specs, but we as phone geeks do (we are only the small percentage in the whole market).
Releasing a new flagship a month after a big name like Samsung is basically facing a uphill battle in a wheelchair... It's just too hard to win.
I really hope HTC does well this year... but from the look of it, another tough year is around the corner.

No, they had all the Android momentum at the beginning. They just went Samsung without the marketing muscle, in that they released 10 variants of each phone in each segment and didn't have the Samsung logistics or marketing to tell people the difference. Then people got confused and went to Samsung's S2 (very clear what the best was for that team). From then on they just kind of never recovered and then on top of that patent trolls (Apple mainly) attacked them.

Is not about the specs war. Its about how your specs win over the others, for example: htc m7 have better performance in multimedia than the gs4, and its not the high clock of the cpu.

The end user experience is more important than spec for sure. I think we are at the time that any faster CPU will go unnoticed for most people. Sanpdragon S4 Pro is already a pretty fast process. Let alone the Snapdragon 600... now even 800 and 805. We are at the time that spec war needs to end and focus on battery life and end user experience.

I'll go as far too say that if they don't launch it with a Snap 805 its all over.. If they bump it up to an 800 they will be In trouble esp with a later release. As for the S5 I will be significantly disappointed if they don't come out with a completely new design made of high end materials. I have an S4 and my chrome bezel is chipping. Note and Galaxy lines all look the same its time for something new and refreshing!!!

I don't think the GS5 will be announce at MWC. Samsung will have their own press conference at their OWN UNPACKED EVENT. I just hope SONY will put their device on every carrier. it won't help their sales if its exclusive too one carrier in the STATES

Nope dude..S5 gonna be release at 24th 4 sure,Firstly i thought that sammy wont release it but now its quite apparent that they would definitely release their next flagship at MWC

This is very fake, someone just made a word table, why would t-mobile make such a crappy list?

We have the full e-mail, including a pretty authentic-looking internal spreadsheet with all the models that T-Mobile Netherlands is/will be offering in the near future.
It's 'indicative', sure, but likely not a fake. Personal opinion.
