Same boat as you, got the Voyager for the Mobile TV purpose, Euro 2008 and Olympic 2008 are what I want to watch when there's no TV near. I actually had a chance to play with the Dare a few weeks ago (courtesy of Verizon employee on the upper of the food chain), anyway, I didn't like it at the time, thought it was slow and sluggish, but after seeing the version as they shown on Youtube, I have a change of heart, however, I wish it has Mobile TV. As far as Mobile IM and texting...I am a junky too...the keyboard on the Voyager is great but I believe that you adjust and adapt to your typing habit no matter what it is. So, should you change phone? I would if you don't need Mobile TV, as for me, I am still undecide...haha...so good luck.

just for all who ordered it ahead of time. the order will not go through. you have to order it tomorrow. all reps said today that orders that were taken yesterday were rejected due from unavailibility. dont believe me? call vzw yourself

This may be true for some people or for orders placed within your area. However, some have already received their's or their's is on the way. It's unfortunate that not everybody that wants one can get it early, but we can all have the chance to check it out soon enough :)

ATTN PEOPLE!!! make sure the dare isnt as cheezy!! as the lg vu for att cause if it is u will be very sad!!! its like a plastic toy horrible!!!! i was just told it was basicly the same phone!! that was from the verizon rep who had one!! i hope hes wrong!!!

So I got the phone today, its pretty much like the voyager, minus the qwerty keyboard.. The signal is a bit weak to and the sound clarity is a little distorted. I hope they have a firmware update soon..

So far the phone is pretty good, needs to be more touch sensitive and calling could be better..

Okay so for you who do not believe that's fine, but I do have one sitting right in front of me.. My friend who works at Verizon freaked out because I had it earlier than the launch date.. Just shows ya you don't have to be rich or famous to get a phone before its release date, you just have to read phonearena.com.. lol Update, the full browser is kinda crappy to, it def. needs a firmware update and hopefully the signal and distorted calls get better.. The touch response isn't to terrible after calibration to..

Nice Phone, nice features but , it isn't a PDA. So how much could you really do with this phone and mobile web 2.0? If you own a PDA, you will be disappointed! I'll wait till they make it a PDA version of it.
