I can't wait for this phone. The rev.a is going to make this phone fly through the internet when you are receiving an EV-DO signal. And has anyone looked at Verizons 3g map compared to AT&T? There is no comparison, verizon's is 3-4 times larger. I travel throughout the country often, and need 3g where I go. And from what I've heard you can view attachments, and youtube videos with no problem. So far I think this is going to be verizon's closet phone to the i-phone. Now before all the i-phone users start to bitch, we all know this is not the i-phone and never will be. But isn't great that there are so many phones to chose from now like the i-phone, if you don't want an i-phone. Yes apple users some of us don't like / want to use apple products. I know thats so shocking for you to hear, but it's ok you can still love apple and your i-phone.

Your right, this is no iphone... It's better. 3.2 Cam, flash, Video, abilty to send/Rec Pic & Video, better 3g coverage, better network... So what is it that the iphone can do better?

The iphone has a user interface that surpasses any phone or device that has been out. The dare uses some of the same basics and builds on it with improved features, and network. But the iphone i think just has implemented the touchscreen in a way that no device has touched... I wonder however... Android OS....

yea I was gonna go get a blackberry curve I was so pumped when I went to get it. I go up to the sales rep and say im gonna get the curve. Hes like "Ok so which black berry data plane would you like. Wtf... so im like "I do not want a blackberry data plan. Hes like "well...you have to get one its required..." WTF is that??? Why would they require it...o yea thats right they try and suck every last penny out of their customers. Anyways I was very dissapointed. I couldnt get the curve cuz i cant afford an extra 30 bucks a month. Anyways getting this phone for sure when it comes out!

Do a little research next time. You have to have a data plan for a Smartphone.

Blackberry is the only phone you need to have a data plan on because blackberries use push e-mail and use the data network all the time. If you went pay as you go you would have a bill for 500 at the end of the month 1.99 per mb . All other PDA's and smart phone can be pay per MB, but you should not be getting a PDA or smart phone if you are not going to use the data feature. Don't waste your money.

its a requirement bc of an agreement with RIM, we cant sell any BBs w/o a data plan

no you dont, i have a palm and i dont have a data plan for it..its not big deal maybe you should do your research

to answet ur question as to why you have to have a data plan on the blackberry is due to all of your emails are going thru the blackberry server also the PIN that you can do on that device to talk to other blackberry users is also done thru the blackberry server and pretty much bypasses the carriers network so it has nothing to do with ur carrier trying to make money off of you all though they do it has to do with you paying blackberry for there servers to get push email

It is the contract that Verzion has with Rim (blackberry). This helps to keep the people who just want to look cool instead of using the phone for what it should be used for.
