In India, pre-register for the Nokia Lumia 530; launch to take place in third week of August
The Nokia Lumia 530 comes with a 4 inch display, offering resolution of 480 x 854. A quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 is under the hood. 512MB of RAM is inside, with 4GB of native storage. Luckily, a 128GB capacity microSD slot is available to increase the storage capabilities of the phone. A 5MP fixed focus shooter adorns the back of the device, and a 1420mAh battery provides up to 10 hours of 3G talk time. There is a version with a dual SIM card set up. Thanks to different colored exchangeable polycarbonate backs, you can customize the phone to fit your mood.
Because this really is more like a pre-registration than a pre-order, you are not reserving a handset with Snapdeal. No money is changing hands. All you are doing is letting the retailer know of your interest in the device. When the Nokia Lumia 530 is ready to be released, the retailer will notify those who have pre-registered. Meanwhile, Nokia has produced an official video about the phone that you can view with a simple click on the screen, below.

I think I'll pass this one, better stick to 520 for now its awesome phone with affordable price and support . I believe M$ can do much better than this (530). I love those edgy design of 520 better than these rounded corners.

The 530 has a better CPU, screen resolution and twice the amount of SD card storage 128 GB than that of the 520. All are great budget devices.

Cpu is just slightly better. And for screen resolution is for on screen buttons. And 128GB is not so useful for me 32gb is fine for me. But they decreased internal storage to 4gb. Also 512mb ram is a NO for me. Im not saying it is anyway a bad device but there is better alternatives in market. This one is not for me , I'll wait for 535 and 730.

The Lumia 520 had a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8227. The Lumia 530 boasts the newer and more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, which is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and should give more than enough grunt for anything you'd expect to do on a bottom-of-the-range handset.
At 245 ppi vs 233 ppi resolution it has a better resolution than the 520 even if slightly so.
The 128 GB may not be useful for you but you gotta keep in mind where a lot of budget devices are primarily used.

what more can be expected of you ms boy..
that dual core processor in 520 is a krait processor much faster IPC than the weak quad core processor.. in single threading Lumia 520 wins and in multi threading .. 530 wins but only by very small margin .. most of the apps are single threaded so a lumia 520 will be much faster...
second lumia 530 has a smaller screen due to onscreen buttons so its more or like 3.7 inches
3rd the GPU is downgraded poor gaming than 520
downgrade camera from autofocus to fixed focus
512 mb ram in 2014 ? are you kidding me ram downgrade from 1gb in lumia 525 to 512 mb ram in 530. sorry i would like to run heavy games and apps that require 1gb ram .. Moto E comes with 1gb ram
bad design , who the heck is going to use 128gb are you out of your mind... ? 32 gb isn't mainstream yet in low end ... 128 gb card will cost more than the phone itself
open your eyes even fanboys should see this as a bullcrap phone

Oh look Htc One X sold out. -_-

Yeah but what does HTC one X have to do with the 530, I dont get your point. Just because an older phones gets sold out doesn't mean that it was pushed out in the same quantity as Lumias. Keep in mind that the 520 has sold over 12 million so far. I think 530 will do great for the demographic is catered towards.

I don't see it sold out anywhere, WTF are you smoking.
What's even lamer is people in the US can get the larger and more standard memory 630 for $50 with cricket, hell, for free after rebate.

What ever happened to the Lumia 525 it had all the specs of the 520 but had 1gig of ram so a person could run all the apps in the Windows smart phone store. hopefully Microsoft's program of getting developers to write apps that can run on a 512 meg ram smart phone works out so people can enjoy using it's low budget smart phones!

Well, it needs 1GB of ram. On my 630 I'll use the browser and visit three sites, then hit the home key, and the damn launcher has to reload for a half second.
That's right, it can't even keep the fundamental home launcher in memory.
And nothing else was in the recent apps screen save the browser. The thing has to tombstone almost everything to work properly.
