In India, honor 7 users can register to receive Android 6.0 just 24-48 hours later
Android 6.0 is coming to the Indian version of the honor 7 handset. But there is a twist. To receive the update, you need to register your device's unique IMEI number and the current software version. 24 to 48 hours after you register, the update should be received OTA by your honor 7 phone. The update will improve your battery life thanks to Doze. This feature puts your phone into a deep sleep state, and cuts off apps from the network. Your standby time increases sharply, leading to greater battery life.

The new app permissions on Android 6.0 allow you to allow or deny permission for individual features on an app. And don't forget Google Now on Tap. This adds a contextual flavor to your search results, which will be based on the content found on your screen.

When the notification appears telling you that the update has hit your phone, make sure that you are on a Wi-Fi network, and that your battery is charged to at least 50% before starting the updating process. Because the files are sent out in waves, it might take a few days before it reaches your phone. If it doesn't come right away, don't panic.

The honor 7 is made by the honor sub-brand owned by Huawei. It carries a 5.2-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. That works out to a 424ppi pixel density. Driving the phone is Huawei's home-grown Kirin 935 chipset, carrying an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU and the Mali-T628 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB/64GB of native storage. Those requiring additional memory can access the 64GB capacity microSD slot. A 20MP rear-facing camera comes with an aperture of f/2.0, and a sapphire glass covering to prevent it from getting scratched. An 8MP front-facing camera snaps selfies and handles video chats. The 3100mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 5.0 is pre-installed.
