Also I read this news earlier on wpcentral.. Pretty excited but one BIG elephant in the room that M$ nor Nokia is addressing is the hard reset issue.. It bricked one of my 920s and I hear its the same with he 720 and 1020.. I would sell my 1020 but out of fear in afraid to due to this issue..i should be able to factory reset without fear..

That's kind of an ominous name for an update.

Bitter because they were bought by Microsoft, sweet because they were bought by Microsoft?

If the EVLeaks are anything to go by, the 1520 will be quite a beauty yet beast at the same time, the mighty Quad S800 surely puts this in the same league as the HTC One Max/Z Ultra/Acer Liquid S2 and especially the Note 3, but will have the best camera knowing the software trickery with Nokia's genius.

I used to think naming Android versions after sweets was so stupid. But after trying to keep Appolo, Blue, bittersweet, and GDR3 straight, I'm starting to understand why Google took that route.

Can someone please explain what are Windows Blue and GDR3? If GDR3 is the next step in Windows evolution, where was GDR2? Thanks.

Gdr2 came with my l1020, updated for the 925, 928, and eventually the 920 lol which added glance (imo best part of the update), battery efficiency update, the "other" memory clear out. Gdr3 will add 1080p support, larger displays, true multitasking, xing out of a window (no more stupid back back back to get out) and I'm sure much much more. As for windows blue I'm not sure yet.

Gotcha! Thank you for the clarification. Sounds like GDR3 provides a lot of the things many non WP users have been asking for. I can't wait to try it out.

What file manager do you mean? You can explore the phone by plugging it into your computer. Unless you mean an onboard one?

SIgn petition to have Microsoft take control of the releases. Lets stop AT&T from delaying updates and removing apps, such as Date sense.
