it runs on rented verizon LTE towers, so pretty damn fast.... where you can get it that is.

:O 4reals where you get that info from? (actually asking, not mocking you :])

Actually it's not. The CDMA network that Metro uses is licensed from Sprint. and the LTE Network they are using is not licensed, but they're own. Metro PCS is on an Old revision of LTE and it's at the upper end of the 700Mhz block. When my company tested they're trail it was getting between 4-6MB (Realistic) down. 2.5-4MB on upload. So on average yes it's faster than ATT's 3G network. (I don't care what they say there theoretical speed is). The Metro PCS LTE is just marginally quicker.

Ummm correction MetroPCS does not rent towers from SprintNextel they have their own CDMA network running in the 1900MHz range and the 1700MHz range.
Second their LTE network is not rented from any carrier, and its slow not fast at all. They have their LTE network in 1700MHz range in 5MHz sequential channels which makes it only hit 1Mbps. Now where are you other people getting your info? Because a simple Google search would have canceled out all of what you all said. MetroPCS uses its own network and is not an MVNO.

I can tell you MetroPCS LTE operates on 5MHz channels in Texas and Florida. In Texas MetroPCS uses the AWS band, aka band 4 (1700 up / 2100 Down), and in Florida they operate on the PCS 1900 band, aka band 2 (1800 up/ 1900 down).

if it is fast enough as att 3g i am ok because i'm using the iphone 4 and i'm tired of paying $135 every month instead of $60 with metropcs even they do not have service everywhere. I was waiting for a phone like this so I can switch and this is the perfect phone for me.
