If your Apple iPhone 4S breaks while in this case, it will be repaired or replaced

Cellhelmet feels so confident that its cases can protect your Apple iPhone 4/4S that if your handset breaks while being protected by a Cellhelmet case and cannot be repaired, they will present you with a replacement iPhone; the warranty is good for a year and includes jailbroken units...

And why do I care? If they offered to buy you the next model up, that would be a deal.

But the new iPhone might not fit their case. If it took them this long to get this case out, your phone would be "unprotected" until that case comes out.

Also, most warranty companies will offer you a comparable model for replacement. The 3GS can still be had new for free on AT&T and it is approaching 3 years old. Apple has no reason to drop the iPhone 4/4S when "the next model up" is released. Therefore, the new model would not be comparable to an older, slower model of potentially a completely different chassis design, especially if the older device is still available.

One last thing. You don't have to care. This is a news site with 1,000's of hits each day from people who aren't you and may actually care to read and learn about it. Some of us work in the cellular phone industry and find this information extremely valuable in helping us provide the best information to our customers concerning how to protect, use, or otherwise just enjoy their device more. If you don't care then move on. It's what the rest of this thing called "the world" or "society" does. Emphasis on the plural meaning of those words.

It really doesnt look that protective. Nothing like a Lifeproof case...they want to sell u the insurance rather than a protective case...if you want protection go otterbox or Lifeproof

I would buy this...the iphones are fragile phones...anything helps and it seems cheaper than insurance...AT&T sells insurance per line for 6.99-9.99 per month and 199.00 for the deductible.

I had insurance from Sprint, but I fix phones and finally just cancelled the insurance after fixing my phone from a couple boot loops (HTC) and I had replaced the screen due to a faulty digitizer. Not worth the monthly fee and then a deductible on top of that.

I'd recommend a Lifeproof case as well. A buddy in the military while purchasing his tested it right there dropping his phone from shoulder height, phone survived he bought a case.
